. Cloudtail iirc was a tie up between amazon and infy cofounder narayan murthy's company 'catamaran ventures'They sell genuine oils so don't worry. Sometimes they have oil that's a year old (nothing wrong with it, oil is usually good for atleast 2yrs in a sealed bottle) and might also be getting a lower price from a distributor etc.. and hence lower prices. Big guns, big money.. take advantage of the prices. I've been buying oil's only from amazon since a couple of years.. saves me close to 200~300 bucks at each service.
I don't think they are 'official' dealers of any brand of oil.. just like some local shops who get their supplies from a local distributor and resell.
The oils from Shell & Motul are good, aint going to break anything and are safe to use. What causes issues is irregular oil changes and neglected maintenance. no oil is going to undo the damage that's already been done. Stick to recommended grade, or maybe one higher (e.g. w30 to w40) and you should be fine.
