Looks like it's the Indian fz. 2017 model is Indian one I guess. And it has abs. Hopefully someday soon it's happening in India too .
And use translate to translate the page if u want to read.
From April 1st 2018 abs is mandatory on bikes above 125 cc in India.

      fz25+abs+pirelli tyre = Inr 300000 Approx
i would like to have abs in future.

So obviously FZ25 will be Abs from 2019

Sorry for the long post, but got my Fz 25 today. I was told I am getting the bike from a fresh batch coming from Yamaha. But I got a June manufactured bike. Even the other bike kept for delivery was june. Can there be a possible explanation for getting a 4 month old bike?. I didn't have time to visit the dealer before them taking temp. reg in my name. Left it to luck at that time. But now I wonder. The dealer told they can't do anything about it and can give only what Yamaha allots to them. I took the bike from down south in Cochin. The bike had 0.6 km on the trip meter when I took it and couldn't find anything amiss during visual inspection.

Three minor niggles I faced was:
            1. A very minor vibration throughout the rev range when riding. Might sort out as I pile on more Kms (My first ever 'New' bike experience). Started the bike after 4 hours. The handlebar vibration was visible to the naked eye. It can be somewhat considered a cold start, but then still didn't expect to see the vibration, only tactile feel would have been ok. Have to observe again after riding for a few kms.
            2. It takes quite a few cranks to start each time, even after engine warm up. I have seen several videos, and even the test ride bike, all started with a single crank. Engine didn't feel hot either. Wondering if any issues with regulator. I am sure the SVC would have charged the battery fully before delivery. Will see if it starts taking longer to crank in the coming days.
            3. This is not a niggle, but a doubt as in, is there anyway to link the power to the headlight via the kill switch so that it goes off when I switch off the bike at signals?

My first Yammy, after being a hardcore Apache fan. Hoping things smoothen out without too many issues and it can get me grinning ear to ear like my RTR did. Because if it does, then I wouldn't mind frequent visits to the SVC to get niggles sorted out as I will love it enough.

My “Alpha” - (FZ 25) is 1 week old as of today 15/11/2017.

I am super excited and happy for my Alpha baby. Have Ridden only 500km (70% Highway and 30% High Traffic in city)

My Experiences with my Alpha Baby (awaiting 1st run in):

Alpha is Quick and relentless. The Fueling is just super crisp , I love it ! The Fuel injection and ECU does its job pretty well , The Throttle response is awesome.
Especially when stretching in the same gear ! It works like dream.

Yes the gearbox is clunky , all of us know about that ! , but as time passes , it is settling down.

I did some cornering with it and i was really happy how it kept its angle !
The break , especially the rear , lacking the crisp bite is intentionally done for a reason’ , As it reduces chances of getting the Pads locked up.

I am actually and literally getting a whooping Fuel Economy of 40-Kmpl avg. from Highway and City mixed .
              And
especially in High Traffics in Kochi city I got a FE of 36-38 .
And no one can ask for more.

I am waiting for my Alpha to reach the first run in point and after that I want to rule the Hills and take on the never ending roads . Can’t wait .
Till now keeping the norms and haven’t crossed the 4000-5000rpm range .
              Max. Speed I did was 75 .
Can’t wait to reach the triple digits and revv it hard .

                Hi guys,

I got my new FZ 25 on last Saturday evng, 11/11/2017... I went to showroom Saturday afternoon and got bike by evng..

Here are the couple of pics of my new bike.. it's just 3 days old and I don't have much complaints about my black beauty...

I need few information from you guys...

                1. Any one using tank cover? Is it good or spoiling bike look? If you are using plz share one pic..
                2. Where are you guys locking your helmet? To handlebar? Or can we install any hook kind of thing?
                3. Last and common question, how much mileage i can expect before 1st service? As of now it is just 70km on oddo and in console mileage is showing 30kmpl.. how accurate is this?

                Thanks in advance.....

1.Ofcourse tank cover spoil the looks but it's for some purpose if you need then u can install it dont think about what people say.
                  2. Helmet locking i dont know, I personally took my helmet with me in my hand (when I'm not riding) or head.but u can buy some helmet locking kit and install it on your grab rail.
                  3. I can't say that average consumption meter accurate sometimes it shows more than what u actual get. Day by day the average is increasing. When I bought my bike its 30 now its 37.5kmpl. I just did my Fz25 1st service last Sunday and before service my average is 37.8kmpl but after service its 37.3kmpl and after riding 50km now its 37.5kmol and after 1st servuce personally i dont feel much difference after service, cause my gear shift are not that hard and now it's a little bit smoother than before .
Sometimes I get 40kmpl sometimes 35-36kmpl. If you ride your bike 4-5k rpm then u will get good mileage of 35-38kmpl approx...but if I say don't think too much about mileage just enjoy till 1000kms then u know "kitna deti hai"[emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1]

                        1. Tank cover spoils look's of the bike. If it's highly necessary, look into detachable tank bag.

                        2. There are Hook beneath pillion seat where we can lock two helmets via chin strap.

                        3. I was getting around 38-40kmpl in city when I was riding sedately. Now with slightly rash and aggressive driving I'm getting around 35-38kmpl in city.

Helmet locking is available beneath the back seat. If you open the seat, there are hooks on the side panel. Very convenient. Regarding mileage, you will get about 33 on bad/city roads and about 38 to 40 on highways. Mine is new too (1500 kms), so i don't know if it goes any higher.
