Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Think Yamaha's quality team has taken a deep sleep in India. Had a bad clutch issue and some problem in volumetric efficiency in crank and got the bike replaced. Now having this problem. Think when we are out of warranty.Originally posted by Midhun.akd View PostI had the same problem as you but On R15 v2 2016 model.. whole fuel pump Replaced under warrenty.. service centre mechanic told that around 6 R15 and 3 or 4 fz had this same problem.. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Sorry to hear that you faced these issues. It's just really bad luck that you recently faced the fuel pump issue also. What happened to the clutch ? And how did the crank problem come out ? Are there some noticeable noises or behaviour to watch for as warning signs ?Originally posted by Dinesh.P View PostThink Yamaha's quality team has taken a deep sleep in India. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Need Suggestion..
The fuel pump will prime every time when the key is turned ON.Since last one week I cannot hear the fuel pump priming which makes a noise usually. Now it doesnt make any noise. Also the bike doesnt start in first two cranks, sometimes stalls in second gear even on adequate throttle. Is this a problem with the fuel pump should i get it checked. I can hear the priming noise once the bike starts but not when I first turn on the key as it used to do before.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The power delivery was too low and it was literally like riding a fz 16. Also regarding the clutch it will make some minor noise even in idling which will be apart from the engine noise.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostSorry to hear that you faced these issues. Yes check it the fuel pump should maintain some pressure for the injection. If the pressure is low then you will these type of issues.Originally posted by ashokt444 View PostNeed Suggestion..

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
What is your odo reading? It's hard to believe that a Yamaha is facing such issues. I think you need to replace the clutch discs though. Could be an issue with the disc pressure.Originally posted by Dinesh.P View PostThe power delivery was too low and it was literally like riding a fz 16. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It was a brand new bike with 85 kms on odo. They changed the entire clutch assy. The clutch issue got ready but the bikes power was too low. So it was a crank issue if i am not wrong. With the same cylinder kit piston with a different center case the bike behaved very different. Finally with all these experiment Yamaha accepted to replace the bike. With the replaced bike and 5000 kms on odo now the fuel guage is making trouble and it seems to be a faulty sender unit in the fuel pump and they are replacing it under warranty.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostWhat is your odo reading? Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just got the first service done at 500 kms last week. Bike has become smoother (obvious) and gears have become slightly easier to slot, although still on the harder side. The mrf masseter has now completed the bedding in and is an incredible tyre. I never expected such a great tyre from MRF but a huge round of applause for them. It's almost twice as better as the tyres I have experienced that include Michelin pilot sporty, mrf zapper, mogrip meteor(almost every other mrf tyre except the masseter, of course), all ceat tyres, TVS ramora. Also, I tested the wet grip four days ago and again they surprised the crap out of me. Almost as good as Metzelers on the Duke.
Overall, I am very happy with the bike. A few cons for now are -
Decent headlight throw on clear nights but almost useless in the fog. The led color temperature is the culprit here. Also, intensity could have been higher.
The front tyre although satisfactory on dry tarmac, does not stick as well as the masseter in wet conditions.
The front suspension is a wee bit softer that what I would have deemed perfect. Just 10-12%.

Wow! I guess you just got a faulty machine. Tough luck on you brother. Hope all problems get sorted out quickly and you get to enjoy the bike.Originally posted by Dinesh.P View PostIt was a brand new bike with 85 kms on odo. They changed the entire clutch assy. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes, but except the fault in fuel pump in this machine it didnt create any issues. But a replacement clutch assy what i got from yamaha had minor changes and that was definitely a updated one from the existing. It had a better byte and clutch was very swift.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostWow! I guess you just got a faulty machine. Tough luck on you brother. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Bro u can ride it at 4.5k till 500kms after that u can rev hard nothing to worry, and yeah its a new bike so sometimes u can rev upto 5-6k rpm remember sometimes till break in period..Originally posted by Swapraj1872Looks awesome but what about the mud throw??
I think that yamaha put the tyre hugger for a reason and thats why i dont want to remove it.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Hoe many kilometers should i ride my yammy 250 on 4500 rpm ???. Can i increase the RPM AFTER 500 KM ?? OR DO I HAVE TO wait till it gets to 2000km
