Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes, Shashank and I have. He has gone for for the Pilot Street Radial and I went in for the MRF Masseter-X. Both are excellent tyres and stick to the road like a leech in all conditions. I'd suggest you to get a better rear tyre too.Originally posted by Noob350 View PostHas anyone changed the OEM tyres out of the showroom?
Exchanging the brand new OEMs with better tyres?
I'm not quite sure about the MRFs that come with the FZ5.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I think pretty much everyone here has the rusty/pale exhaust pipe issue. This is fairly common in most bikes, albeit it happens a little too soon on the Fz25, which is a bit disappointing.Originally posted by mehul7 View PostAny fz250 owners from here having these issues? Well its really disappointing.

The very reason why bricks are in red color!!Originally posted by ramdante View PostI think pretty much everyone here has the rusty/pale exhaust pipe issue. But for the bike in the video is completely different. The disc plate is rusted like that only when washed with salty water or running the bike with worn out brake pads.
Probably a defective batch or a specific defective bike.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

The Youtuber is based out of Chennai. The level of humidity and saltiness in the air is considerably high given that its a sea coast. Rusting is bound to happen.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostWell, the reddish look on the exhaust pipe is because of wet mud. The very reason why bricks are in red color!!

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Fz25 4000 kms review:
Ever since day one, the bike brings an everyday grin on my face. Must say the bike's getting better everyday. However, nothing's perfect, so here's my honest opinion.
The good:
1. Bike is butter smooth now. Cruising above 85 kph steadily is a happy affair.
2. Fuel economy hovers around 37, which is brilliant considering my everyday commute is mostly on highways at high speeds.
3. With me getting more accustomed to the bike, zipping through tight traffic keeps on improving.
4. Lesser issues with the chain than the fz16.
The bad:
1. Increase in vibrations around left footpeg. It was there on the right earlier but that's gone.
2. Slight drop in high end throttle response. But the bike still breezes past 120 kph.
3. Rear brake is weaker now. But still manageable.
Keep the bike happy and well maintained, it should last years/kilometres. That's all.
Thanks.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
According to international forums, even the XT250/TU250/XT200/XT225 has the infamous "coin rattle sound".
Most say that it is due to a "crankshaft balancer gizmo" which is gear driven and causes the noise since there is play between the gears.
So yea, there's nothing to worry.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
When the starter struggles to turn in the morning. With the starter button pressed, you hear a repeated "kurr kurr" sound and horns getting weaker when used in tandem with brake lights or headlamps. These days most batteries last the two year mark the minimum. But as in electricals, anything can go wrong anytime. Most two wheeler batteries are 12v meaning, that's the minimum (12.4V) to be precise. If the battery, after a ride reads less than 12.3V, it means the battery is going down the drain slowly and steadily.Originally posted by slopegatri View Postis there any indication for battery charge level ? i mean how do you know battery going to be expire soon ? and when to replace before it stops working.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have seen his previous videos and I am fairly confident that he does not live closer to the coast than me. As someone mentioned , I think it is due to usage of hard water for washing especially looking at the console.Originally posted by neeljinwala View PostThe Youtuber is based out of Chennai. My bike also has some rust spots on the disc, but nothing like on this bike.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have seen many Yamaha bikes rusting, however only few components rust. many yamaha bikes rust in the front chassis part (attachments) and at the rear, but these are not so concerning, because, Core chassis was strong. But his bike seems to be completely different. The condition of the Disc is scary. So are other parts. not sure what to say, but never seen any new bike in this sad state.Originally posted by ramnarayanan View PostI have seen his previous videos and I am fairly confident that he does not live closer to the coast than me.
