Top speed of Fz 25 is more than Apache Rtr 200. Then on what basis many users say Rtr is more good for highways than fz 25? Anybody help

me too facing the same issue , Head light vibration of patchy roads and head light is not well illuminated esp the high beam.

People develop attachments towards their vehicles, that's human nature. When you question the capability of their machine, in effect, you are questioning their decision making capacity and their earning capacity. That is what hurts the ego more than the actual issue of which bike is better.

Offcourse fz250 has more top speed than rtr200... But since crusing is all abt finding the sweet Spot where ur bike can constantly run smoothly on particular rpm ri8?...
          So fz250 can do 100kmph @ 6500rpm
          &Rtr200 do 100kmph @ 7000 rpm
Both are almost similar in terms of highway crusing bcoz after 115kmph on Fz250 u will be stressing ur engine.
So technically not a big difference here In terms of cruising.
          Sorry for ot!!...

Free of charge. Yes there is a metal rattle sound as we increase the throttle. But after my recent long ride, it went off. If this comes again I will ask service to fix.
What do you guys mean tappet noise. Im not sure what it is. Even Im getting some kind of rattling sound around 4500 rpm to 5500 rpm.. i.e. during 65-75 kmph.. Some kind of buaaing noise. Is that tappet noise?

Top speed goes up, cruising speed goes up too; and according to my experience, a reliable Jap bike with a top speed of 150-160 kmph can cruise at 135-140 kmph at 6th gear for more than 500 kms a day. I've done that on a 250.

I'm assuming desi bikes have the same quality, and thus the same calculation.

I don't follow sweet spot talk and max torque rpm, that's all theory; what matters is the actual road test of the vehicle.

Tappet ( inlet and outlet valve) noise is something you can hear at idle rpm. Kit-kit sound , something loose kind of. The sound which comes at 4500-5000 rpm may be realted some metal thing vibrating. It has gone as of now from my bike. Get it adjusted if you have.

Well.. u need to check the powerdrift video clearly they mentioned that after 115kmph the engine was feeling stressed.... Even the owners say's that the sweet spot of fz250 is 100 to 110kmph for crusing...U can Cruz on 120kmph on both these bikes.... But that's not the point where these bike will feel relaxed.

Powerdrift says 115kmph, owners vary from 100-110-115 kmph. Notice the variations?

These numbers show the assumptions of the person riding the bike, not the capability of the bike itself. It's when you take the bike on the the road and find out what it's capable of, will you come to know which bike is capable of what speed.

If the bike can do 125 kmph for 500+ kms in a road test, would you still stick to the assumption that the cruising speed is 115 kmph?

Dude i was talking abt the point where ur bike is stressed free!!... Powerdrift said 115kmph is bcoz thats the max in which bike will be super refined with no vibes... I will always prefer a spot where the bike is moving in relaxed manner.. if bike can do 140kmph that doesn't mean i will rev it around 130kmph constantly for long run just because it can do that. Stressing the engine for a long run is not a good thing mate!!...

Completed 1000 kms today, took it on the highway for ride did a top speed of 120 , it was quite windy today so beyond 100 the bike felt torky and was gaining speed rapidly but the wind made me very uncomfortable to ride continuously beyond 100 , I feel road conditions and wind factor play an important role on cruising speeds especially for naked bikes ,another observation mirrors become blured post 70 kmpl

And another thing I noticed from several videos of RTR200 is that the speed rises painfully slow beyond 100.. So, going by that wouldn't the FZ25 be the better machine to run and maintain 115 Km/h cruising speed ?

Well... I don't agree to the fact that high speed determine the capability of a vehicle. Both these machines are ment to rule the city roads and traffic. High-speed in city is a nightmare not only for the rider but for the fellow riders too . On the other hand if you are cruising then 100 kmph is more than adequate. Anything beyond 110 is not crusing. So RTR or FZ25, you can choose either of it based on your riding style and your comfort level . Best is to decide by testing both.

                              I agree.
Rtr and fz has nearly exact power out put so the topspeed will be very close .
FZ25 has 2NM more torque, so what ever speed it does, it will reach there quicker, coupled with the very tall 5th gear on FZ25 means top speed and cruising speed will be a bit better than RTR200.
