Remove one of the terminals from the battery if keeping near home or make sure someone starts the bike for a couple of mins to make sure the battery is charged. Or better use a MASTER SWITCH to make sure the system isn't draining charge! Makes no sense but, you know.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

Best practice when installing an accessory, always use a switch/fuse to turn it off when not in use.

Also whats the best valve setting that we need to maintain.

        Thanks
i have been running valves at 0.05/0,08 since 7k. right now around 12k completed. have reset exhaust valve once around 9-10k. apart from that no trouble. performance is as good as it was after 1st service.

Do they actually check and reseat valves as a part of the service?

Can a service guy do it?...or it is better to do it yourself...?..

What is the difference ???...is it really worth doing this ....??.....coz i have ride my friends fz150cc and it feels much quieter and smooth........feels like being cheated ...the bike acceleration is immense .....but whenever it goes past 80 the creepy sound comes....the best way to deal with is noise cancellation ear phones....!!

I want to definitely go for this solution but need to know whether the headache of going through is really worth ...coz I. My case only the noise is there .... acceleration is don't think is there any.

The sound you are complaining about is different and has no solution. it is by design and harmless. my suggestion would be to learn to ignore it + get a better helmet. many other big bikes have this sound but those bikes never came to India ( mostly Yamaha xt series).

I was kind of disappointed...after R15 it was kind of step down in terms of engine refinement....but yes the power we get somehow over shadows the vibration factor 😁....Going to use this bike for a year more ...then will move to yamaha R3 or ninja 300 if I get my savings lined up...!!!

Yeah the difference in quality and refinement is pretty prominent if you're comparing to R15, but that's just the way these new Yamaha bikes are, even the R15 v3 doesn't feel as refined and the quality of parts isn't as good as the v2 especially if compared to the v1 and older v2 ..... however on my FZ25 using an ecu has helped reduce the vibrations and increase power and throttle response and 93RON fuel helps a bit, 95RON is a game changer though as it gets the smoothness level on par with the R15 and increases power further......I get 95RON by using a isopropanol blend.

Well, its a bigger engine on a diamond type frame, ofc refinement will be lower. can't really compare tbh.

Can you give any examples of that?

i see many people say parts quality is not as good as before, like plastics etc. but i don't really understand. do they break easily, have early discoloration, more flexible, less thickness? what exactly is changed ? or people just don't like the paint finish(surface, not quality) and concluded that the quality is lower now?.

one thing i'll agree, and its the paint quality on metal parts. but there's a reason behind it. previously they used harmful chemicals in paint to make it durable. but now those chemicals are not allowed. i don't know if this regulation applies on all manufacturers or just Japanese. also i'm not sure since when this change kicked in.

Paint quality sucks big time.... specially the tank ....I have the glossy paint ver it attracts lots of scratches. You can scratch it with a tooth pick....
The pass switch paint is going off with in just a year..this happened in earlier bike after 3-4 years.

Fz25 launch at 1.19 lac exshowroom. was definitely worth.

Now it is 1.54 lac exshowroom.(All companies have raised prices in the same way)
Bs6 plus the ABS does not justify almost 30% price rise.
Earlier I would say fz25 was a good choice but it's a waste of money now.
Yamaha has increased service costs almost 50% since lockdown.
I would rather opt for a Bajaj dominor 400 or dominor 250 any day and enjoy the cheap parts and service costs.

Metal vs plastic tank. you are expecting too much from a soft surface. has nothing to do with paint quality. pass switch thing is something i have also seen on all bikes with minda switches. but i believe its more due to curious people scratching it bike is parked but whatever.

And i agree price increase is bit much. but it happened due to customers demand for better headlight. (new headlight costs 17k alone in 20k price increase)
there are better options available now vs fz25. but my post was not regarding which bike is better.

The quality of parts deteriorated with the 2FB R15 V2 bikes in 2014 and has gotten worse over the years....the black plastics fade and oxidise really fast, paint isn't as durable, switch gear goes bad, any rubber starts cracking and there is rusting of the chassis especially on the welds also now I don't see many japanese parts on these bikes.....and why do all these newer bikes since 2014 have big tappet clearance that leads to the horrible tappet noise, I have no idea [emoji849]

Every single time I ride like I stole it and still my 2012 R15 that's done around 90000kms is doing slightly better than my 2017 FZ25 that has done 9670kms only which I don't even like to ride as much because of these quality issues, both the forks on the FZ have leaked too and I never had a leak with the R15.....all that takes away the feel from me.
