Ouch. Yes that can cause it. Puts lot of stress on the entire drive train.Originally posted by Richustanly View PostUsually I lubricate chain every 500 km and clean when it become dirty. I think it happened because of over tightening of chain.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guys,
Need suggestions about buying this bike. I was owning fz16 2009 model and awesome bike I don't think even the recent fz2.0 will match to that quality and power. Had some issue in recent days so sold it. I am planning to buy, my height is 5.3 , I was planning to buy 150 cc so had hornet , fz and Apache 160 4v as option. I had almost finalized hornet because of the pillion seat and less seat height as fz16 pillion seat was not good. But then I went to test drive fz25 , the looks made me to change my opinion.
1. I know we should not compare between 150 and 250, but still is it worth the money because money is concern to me.
2. What is the difference in milage between fz 2.0 and fz25. My old fz was giving 25 so was little frustrated of the milage with the hike in petrol we have this days
3. I saw that pillion seat is good in this segment, it is same to fz2.0, this will help me little less confusion is it comfortable or better then fz 2.0
4. I heard in one YouTube review he was telling he is spending 3k for free service and after free service it will cost 4k . Will it cost that much
5. Any disadvantage of plastic tank compare to other
6. I saw lot of issue tappet, is it solved in 2018 model or still the issue is there
7. Any changes or fix in 2018 model
8. Is the suspension adjustable like in ktm bike , it will help in reduce the height as I am short rider
9. Any other suggestions to reduce the seat height not much 5 to 10 mm

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yamaha has used really cheap paint/coat on the entire exhaust system, have seen all FZ's with mud/rust infected exhaust. I'm planning to get a decent paint done from outside, will keep you posted.Originally posted by @KinZ View PostAny Solutions for the Exhaust Pipe Rust?

Fz25 is a fantastic bike and has very few minor issues which are not a deal breaker BUT I would not suggest this bike for your height. I'm 5'8" and I can't flat foot the bike. This can be cumbersome as well embarrassing. I suggest you to go with a bike that has lower ride height.Originally posted by rohanlpawar View PostHi guys,
Mud does not mean rust.

It does not, but a proper wash should get away the dirt but it doesn't, extra pressure will peel the paint, so it's a cheap cheap thing in there. Have owned quite a few bikes before and hasn't happened to any.

it won't go away with just pressure wash. you gotta rub it with something as the stock paint is very abrasive and it easily attracts mud and bakes it.Originally posted by skyliner34 View Post----consecutive posts auto-merged-----Originally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostMud does not mean rust.

have seen a year old fz25 with 25k odo and it's exhaust pipe looks still like new. because he washed it with brush. i'm also following same procedure so far.

Yes it could bd.. also check if triple tree alignment is proper.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostI think I might be having a problem similar to what Harrisoncool faced with his bike's front end.
The handlebar feels slightly tilted to the right. My left palm and wrist hurts if I ride for more than 10 minutes. Didn't have this issue with my friend's FZ25. Any ideas?
Note: my bike was wobbling a lot when I got it. Was fixed after the Yamaha technician fiddled with the coneset. Maybe it is related to this?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Agree with you bro, thanks for suggestion. But just one more query, can the suspension be adjusted in fz25 so seat height reduce, or does this has enough foam in seat so I can trim a little(10mm) I think 785mm is Enough for me to manage this bikeOriginally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostMud does not mean rust.

Pretty useless on an upright bike like fz25.Originally posted by hemanta View PostAnyone got the knee grip pads from Autologue India?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi according to the factory shouldn't attempt to straighten it. Do you experience pulling to the side or unstable behavior while braking ? Otherwise leave it be is my opinionOriginally posted by siddharth1004 View PostIs it hard and expensive to fix a slightly bent fork? Or is it a common thing and can be done with ease?
