Hi, nothing to worry brother it's a very capable machine, no Japanese manufacturer launches a bike in India unless they are extremely reliable and confident about their product, unlike other manufacturers who iron out the problems after sales, I have read about XT250 which shares the same engine as FZ250 having done lot of miles without any issue, proper Oil change and valve clearance is all it needs.

Which gear are you having trouble with or the bike lunges forward with clutch pulled in with any gear? If it lunges forward with any gear, without you releasing the clutch, your freeplay is on the looser side.Originally posted by rajan_coolrock00 View PostHaving a small issue here.
My clutch freeplay is according to the specs but when I select a gear, bike gives huge jerk.
What may be the issue.?
Get your slack adjusted at both clutch case side and lever side and see if it helps.

Mild jerk with thud is normal for first gear. Happens with most bikes. You should listen to Duke's. first gear engagement sound.Originally posted by rajan_coolrock00 View PostHaving trouble while selecting first gear. It gives loud sound with jerk.
Clutch is adjusted properly.
Problem persists when adjusting clutch at tighter side too.
Nothing to worry!
Cheers!

That thud was of low intensity previously. (Now larger)Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostMild jerk with thud is normal for first gear. Happens with most bikes. You should listen to Duke's. first gear engagement sound.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I want to buy fz 25 but some issues are bothering me :-
1. Coin rattling noise/ tappet noice issue - is there any permanent solution for this issue?? If not then will it effect longevity?? To be honest i dont mind this sound itself but it shouldn't affect performance and longevity.
2. Valve clearence: - i have read alot of complaining about how we need to adjust valve clearence again and again???
To be honest i like pretty much everything about fz 25 and wanna buy it but since i live in a small town i don't wanna run from mechanic to mechanic to fix these issues especially since yamaha sva support here is almost non existent 😑

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello riders, I have a query...
I owned a D400, had to sell it due to average issues, and bought a second hand FZ25, 2018 model, 3900 kms driven thinking that it would at least return me something between 30-35 kmpl, but today when I checked it based on tank to tank method it returned me a figure of only 21 kmpl, can someone please shed some light and guide me that why did this happen. Can you please enlighten that what could be the possible reasons behind thisLast edited by Sharma Ji; 03-16-2020, 12:52 AM.

Consider the coin rattle as natural engine noise , its a very practical bike with minimum issues , the engine is time tested and does not have any issues over long usageOriginally posted by Avneesh Mishra View PostI want to buy fz 25 but some issues are bothering me :-

If you ride like a dominar it will return mileage like dominar , but if you ride in city shifting gears around 3500 -4000 rpm 30-35 is easily achievable, check tyre pressurs, air filter , & spark plug , if it does not solve get the computer analysis done at yamaha service centreOriginally posted by Sharma Ji View PostHello riders, I have a query...

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I am facing the same situation , the MRF after sales inspected and found the air leaking from side, MRF are happy to replace the tyres but only S version is available, for that 700rs have to be paid.Last edited by 1EIGHT6FOUR; 03-16-2020, 01:55 PM.Every mans dream, few men's reality, and every mother's nightmare.

What about valve clearence??? Do we need to adjust it often ??
Also the conclusion i am drawing is that i just have to ignore these issues and they wont cause any problems??

[QUOTE=Avneesh Mishra;1388877]Hi, I have the 2019 version and honestly i dint get that sound, but again have driven a max of an hour at 100 kmph at a stretch and not more. The coin rattle is a minimal noise, which can be ignored easily if you just enjoy the feel and the riding conditions. Had a similar noise in my pulsar every npw and then as some part of the fairing had come lose and needed frewuent tightening. So these small minor noises don't bother me.Originally posted by Vishal Rohra View PostConsider the coin rattle as natural engine noise , its a very practical bike with minimum issues , the engine is time tested and does not have any issues over long usage

The tapets and turrets, etc do not need any tuning, people have just done to get better figures/remove the above mentioned noise. I havent done it and I dont see the need.
There are no major issues observed till now which would need frequent or regular services. My Pulsar used to need a service every 1000 kms. But here i just feel it can go on and on.
