Naah, I don't think so. Because only the Indian KTM's as far as I know come with the dust boots on their forks. If these were export ones, they shouldn't have it.Originally posted by deepak82 View Post

Went down to the Indiranagar SVC with a friend to meet the guys. The chief engg from KTM Pune and ECU guys from Bosch were there. They ran all tests and found a few bugs. They expect to release an update in the next 10-15 days post which most of the bugs and issues should be gone

Did you manage to get record a video of what they did
or care to explain how they went about running the tests.. and what were the 'bugs' ?
Bugs are such complicated questions, because a bug can be caused due to numerous reasons, lack or coordination, redundancy checks and what not. But, what's the silver lining here is the fact that the engineers were present and did do a full check. Now, what I hope is they find all the bugs, test them once again for proper veracity and then bring in an update. But, at least we can be glad it's not a hardware issue. Though chip replaced this console, it'd be imperative for him to get these updates. KTM should issue an update notice to all new gen 390 owners, so that the recall is known and gets adopted on a pro active basis.
Cheers!

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If it's a software bug, then the reason could be as simple as a missed ";" in the code written by the programmers.
Usually the software has to go through a thorough testing before being released to the client, which is screen supplier, but time constraints force a lot of unpolished programs to be released to the end users.
