This is new. As far as i have seen in pictures and videos, it almost challenges the today's flagship smartphones.Originally posted by chip94 View Post

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi All,
I recently booked my D390 2017.
Does anybody has any idea about good accessory shops in Pune where i can buy the crash guards, tank pads and fork sliders ?
I also need to get the TFT screen protector.
I can buy them online but i like to have a look at them before hand.
Can anybody suggest any pointers?
Thanks in Advance.

Noway it would challenge the flagship phone as in manufactures won't use top of the line screen on a 3lk bike. As even cars costing upto 30lk wouldn't have a high ppi AMOLED screens.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostThis is new. But credits to KTM for bringing the tech to the mainstream without which we wouldn't even dreamt of having it on a bike below 10lk.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
My Duke
My Initial Impression
1. Throttle response is awesome.. Bike accelerates like anything..
2. Bike is well refined..Lot smoother.. felt like totally new engine compared to previous gen(I owned 2016 duke 390)..
3. Here and there vibration is there but nothing compared to previous one I had..
4. Road presence is another level
.. Thanks to the LED DRL+Lights and Striking Orange color of the bike I came from Electronic City to Marathahalli.. there are around 7 8 signals.. in every signal.. people were asking for the price and informed me about Lights are turned on
..this includes lorry drivers .. and few people congratulated.. nice feel
5. I am 5.10 and 65 kg .. felt more comfortable in this bike than old model. Just i am able to keep both the feet on ground. Seat cushion is as good as dominar and FZ25..but FZ25 seats are like sofa to me.. i will sleep on it if needs to be
6. Bike handle bars are lowered a bit and foot pegs are little rear set.. I am not sure how other people feel.. but For my height.. its just perfect.. felt more comfortable again.
7. Bike is as nimble as the old bike..

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Good Afternoon Team, I booked a KTM 390 (2017) back in March and was told the waiting period was 60+ days. Now that it's past 60 days and done with my downpayment formalities I was told that the new firmware updates are messing up the electricals especially the front LED headlamps. When probed further the showroom Manager said that post firmware update the headlamps switch on/off/high beam without the intervention of hard controls. KTM have assured there would be a fix shortly, however, wanted to know if any other XBPH members have heard of this issue.
At this point, I'm not sure if this is a genuine update or the showroom folks are just issuing reasons.

I had a similar query other day. Fortunately or unfortunately not getting any response from other xBhpians. Seems like false update as others have not mentioned about such thing.Originally posted by Chetan_NA View PostGood Afternoon Team, I booked a KTM 390 (2017) back in March and was told the waiting period was 60+ days. Thanks for your response! I tried contacting other KTM showrooms who committed on 3 days delivery post-payment formalities also subject to stocks. I happened to mention about the firmware issue and they said that those issues were all fixed. However, when asked the reason what caused it the response i got was "there are no such issues"
. I'm really not sure what the real reason is.

Hi Chetan...I believe the firmware update have sorted out the issues with headlight unit failure for majority of the owners. However, I still hear from few members on issue still existing post updating as well. Too early to comment anything for sure but rest assured, there will be fixes coming for the next couple of months also. there are owners for whom the whole TFT screen have been replaced under warranty where issue not being able to fix. So nothing major to be concerned about I believe.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The update solves the date/time reset issue as well as the HLU issue for most.
The HLU was supposed to be erased and then flashed again with the latest Firmware but what some dealerships did was just erase the current firmware and not reload the latest one. That's the reason some showroom had a huge lot of HLU failures. The bike is fine apart from those stupid SW bugs.
The TFT like I said earlier suffers from image retention when in Night mode which tells us that KTM is using a really cheap Panel vendor. ( Doesn't matter, as no other bike even gives us this option.)

what do you mean by "Image Retention" ?? can you please elaborate?Originally posted by chip94 View PostThe update solves the date/time reset issue as well as the HLU issue for most.

Edit : Got it!!
well, try "restarting" the bike and give it some time to cool off.. :P
Edit 2 : looks like there are very few people taking the 2017 version of the 390.... is it coz of the "BS4" effect where everyone purchased the older BS3 bikes & now there are less people on the look out for purchasing new bikes??? I have seen a couple of the 250s, but not too many of the new 390s....
The RC itself is pretty rare to see provided they launched in 2014, but still.. 3 years & RC is still a rare sight...

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
True, Many people go for previous gen DUKE 390 .. the reason being..unused 390 were available between 1.60 and 2 lakh.. and less used(under 2500kms) 2016 duke 390 in used market is going somewhere around 1.65.. which makes them more affordable and sensible to some people who are on budget..Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View Post

Especially in Bangalore 2017 Duke 390/250 are very rare too(where Bangalore is the city which is having more KTM bikes in india, if i am not wrong) because the price jump for new 390 from 2.31 lakh to 2.84 is huge.. people dont bother about ride by wire and design and featues.. as long they have powerful motor. what they want is raw power in budget..
I myself sold my 2016 Duke 390 and thought to buy less used duke 390
..I was very much disappointed by knowing the price difference between bangalore and chennai/hyderabad is 25000 and bangalore vs pondy is 45000
which led me to confusion whether 53k premium is worth or not..
but still i made up my mind and bought 2017 D390 because of the features and sexy refreshing looks...
