Can we expect the white edition 390 duke again?

Looks like White is now available as it is shown on the KTM India website as one of 2 colour options - Orange / White. No mention of Black though.
But that KTM India site also displays a whole lot models that are not sold in India yet, so I guess white / black colour availability needs to be reconfirmed at the dealer end

Yesterday I saw Black colour box between orange and white boxes given for colour selection on website, but bike's image was not available. Maybe some sort of glitch.

I know i am jumping a step ahead here.
but anyone knows, what are the best accessories for the 2017 model and where are those available ?
Like windscreen, graphics, other power-parts etc ? Also, can the power parts be ordered online ?

Also, is any dealer giving any kind of discounts in NCR region ? I have been talking to a few and might manage to get some in the form of powerparts/ Bike cover etc.

Hi Folks, just wanted to know if anyone from Bangalore got the bike delivered recently? I made my booking on March 6th and still haven't got he bike. Showroom guys are clueless on whats happening as they don't have any confirmation from the factory side. Some even say the factory is not despatching anymore bikes...is it true!

Hi Sumesh - Not too sure about Blore. But at least in NCR, all the dealers are happily takings the bookings with a minimum waiting period ranging from 45-60 days. I have been touch with a few folks and none of them so far have indicated any delay or dispatch issue from the Plant.
Why don't you talk to a few other dealers in Blore and check out the situation there...

Hi everyone, lucky owners of the new duke 390, can anyone comment on the fact that the silencer pipe in set up very close to the rear mono shock, has anyone experienced anything because of the close proximity, I mean will the exhaust pipe burn or melt down the rubber seals of the rear monoshock when the bike is in use for some time in hot weather, it really looks to be very close
main aur meri motorcycle, aksar yeh batein kartey hain....

KTM/Bajaj have modified the rear suspension to prevent any issue arising because of the hot exhaust pipe near it.

Yes I realised even the old KTM had the exhaust very close to the the mono shock, no issues I think

just don't apply too much chain lube (especially if you are using a liquid type of lube like engine oil/gear oil)
what happens is at high speeds (as in highway rides) the lube gets flicked on to the exhaust and you would notice some smoke off the exhaust (the oil burning off) around the monoshock area.
ive had it happen to me a couple of times.. nothing serious though, and did not affect the mono or anything. .just burns off after a few mins..
this is on the old ktm's.

Yes, everything's a tight fit in there, with the Dukes. There's hardly any space in the engine bay to fiddle with, with ones hands, at least for the most part. Beautiful engineering if you ask me. Secondly, yes the shocks are kinda placed at a close proximity, again design, but the newer ones have at least a teeny weeny bit more gap than the preceding models. The older ones had muffler so close to the shock there was hardly any gap for your small finger to go in. But yes that's the design and nothing to worry.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END

                                An update following my case-

Rohith (KTM Indiranagar B'lore) as well as Chandrashekar (Head of KTM Karnataka) have been really good at getting things sorted for us guys. They've actually taken time out to specially attend to us owners who are facing small niggles. I'd suggest anybody having any issues to directly contact them. My defective TFT was replaced under warranty, no questions asked and that too in a matter of a few hours!

The TFT version right now is 39. They plan to release a lot more updates in the future in order to solve all issues. Hold on tight!
