Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys please suggest coolant options other then engine ice. In user manual KTM is saying coolant boiling point as 110*C and they are using Koolex brand coolant.
Motul motocool is having boiling point 133*C
If I upgrade to motul motocool then will it help in reducing engine heat???? Is there any relation of coolant boiling point and heat generated from engine.???

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Update: I have not yet got the console replaced (thought I will get it done during the first service), but the issue with the console not saving preferences seems to have disappeared automagically! The preferences do not go back to the default and seem to be working just fine now. The console restart issue has happened thrice so far from the time I got my bike.Originally posted by chip94 View PostIt should fix it as I faced the exact same issues as you. But, my second one restarts sometimes too. So getting that replaced too. Please update us once you get your's fixed. Thanks
The other issue I'm noticing is that the console displays a SERVICE warning. The last time this happened, the console restarted, the ODO went back a few kms and everything seemed fine. I'm noticing the SERVICE warning again today. I have only clocked 480 kms so far so the SERVICE warning should not be displayed in my opinion.
As for the vibrating noise issue, the service center tried to fix the panel around the ignition key and it seemed like the noise went away but it came back within 5 kms. I still can't put a finger on what exactly is causing the noise. And it happens only between 3-4k rpm and goes away below or above that. In city riding conditions whenever I slow down I find myself in this rpm range and the vibrating noise begins. It is very irritating to say the least.
So to sum it up, the console issue and the vibrating panel noise issue are the only ones I'm facing right now in what is otherwise a brilliant bike.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Agree the rattling noise comes around 3K RPM / 3rd gear. While taking delivery itself while doing PDI by revving i found this, service engineer did some juggad way and its gone after taking delivery within 10-15 mins it came back. I waited for couple of days to settle in, but it did not go away. Took back bike to show room and again he fixed . after a day it reappeared . I guess we have to live with it. for me being used to vibrations from bullet this is very littleOriginally posted by Rajiv Jayanth View PostUpdate: I have not yet got the console replaced (thought I will get it done during the first service), but the issue with the console not saving preferences seems to have disappeared automagically! Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Rattling noise may also come from plastic panels on tank. When receiving my bike I noted that plastic panel on one side is slightly loose as compared to other. These panels are having a rubber dampener beneath and mine was out of place. The service boy opened the panel and placed rubber dampener between bolt and plastic panel. No noice and vibrations so far. I am posting the video of plastic panel which I noticed. Please see your's if these dampeners are fixed?

Are you from Coimbatore? If yes, from which showroom did you take the delivery of the bike? Avinashi road KTM?
Cheers!

so I suppose ur Firmware version is V38?!Originally posted by DRRAVINDERCHOPRA View PostI have received my bike on 24th April and till now clocked 180kms. I have faced only headlight issue so far. Date and time are still intact. No failure messages etc. Only headlight going off for 2 sec (happened only once)
ECU failure comes when ur engine heats up badly

Ya it's V38. Got HLU FAILURE error this afternoon. I hope that these error messages can be corrected after firmware update. After HLU failure error just switched off the bike and restarted, ECU resets and no problem after that. No effect on performance and electrical system after HLU error. Posting the pic of error.
