They've actually taken time out to specially attend to us owners who are facing small niggles. I'd suggest anybody having any issues to directly contact them. My defective TFT was replaced under warranty, no questions asked and that too in a matter of a few hours!

The TFT version right now is 39. They plan to release a lot more updates in the future in order to solve all issues. Hold on tight!
May i know What was the TFT defect exactly???

Folks can anyone help inP220 understanding the pillion ride quality of the bike, I am worried, my current ride is ok in pillion comfort, got to test a 2013 KTM Duke with wife, she was very uncomfortable with the seat, more because of the size, have not been able to test ride the new Duke but was able sit with wife on a standing KTM 250 in the showroom, she felt that the seat was quite ok, bigger in size and the grab rails are much well placed, but ofcourse when you ride it, then the feel is quite different, can people please throw some light on the ride quality and specially the pillion comfort

2017 KTM Duke 390 rider loses life after falling off a bridge

Local media report blames the hazardous way in which the bridge has been constructed.

KTM has started work on new generation Duke 390. 2020 KTM Duke 390 has just been spied, with a larger engine, bigger size and BS6 engine.

The motorcycle, has, did and has always come with the counterbalancer Mechanically there isn't much of a change, that includes the powertrain. 2017 and 2013 Duke engine specs don't differ much apart from a few improvements and a slight bump in torque specs. Rest, it's pretty much the same old engine with most of the components the same. The new 390 is"expected" to feature a second counterbalancer, meaning added weights in the engine to smoothen out the engine frequency vibrations even more which would result in an even more smoother engine. So, probably that's the buzzword that you've heard from folks around you. But unless we get the 2017 workshop manual, only then we'll know if it really has come with two balancers.

              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

              THE END

The 2017 D390 continues with a single counter balancer in the engine-the second balance shaft was speculated to be fitted in the cylinder head as in the not for sale in India D690,but that has not materialized.
The better smoothness (as compared to previous models) is due to superior fueling and ignition maps.
To my 43+ year old hands it remains a vibey, tingly road rocket at all rpms.

Its EC KTM in bangalore.. i have known the manager for some time.. I was asking him for the bike since last week.

He told 1 bike is there which is booked and got cancelled due to someone's Loan got rejected.

I was supposed to receive that bike.. but i was in a dilemma if 1.5 lakh to be taken in loan or to pay 2.83 in one shot..
In that confusion missed that bike.. otherwise could have taken the bike by friday itself.. later i decided to go with full cash..
he had given that cancelled bike to one of the other guys who were waiting.. and then he told next lot comes in a week or so..

Then new lot of bike came... he called me and updated me the availability.. hence that 1 extra bike he kept blocked for me

Price in every place seems fair enough when compared to pathetic and irritating price tag in Bangalore and entire KA

Spot on. The bike if I reckon, isn't equipped with a secondary balancer. As such, a secondary balancer meaning, the engine casing has to be redesigned in order to accommodate the balancer if any. That's exactly the reason, where I iterated, unless I see it in the parts catalog, I can surely say it has one. It is the 2017 690 which had a secondary balancer in the head, where the valve train itself was modified to act as a counterbalancer, clever engineering.

But, unfortunately, the 390 at least from the outside, doesn't seem to have a counter-balancer, it's still the same old mill, with BS IV tweaks of course.

                                Cheers!
