Guys, What safety equipment or locks are you using to keep the bike safe apart from standard handlebar lock? Also, Is the bike is equipped with immobilizer?

I took it for a short ride to Lavasa last Sunday and it was fun to ride reminded me of my good old RX100 days [emoji2] .The power delivery is smooth and Acceleration is fantastic. I do not remember coming down below third gear during assent. I found throttle response to be too sensitive but crisp..fun most of the times but pain in too much traffic. One thing really annoyed me is too much downshifting.i mean I have to put it in 1st gear most of the times as 2nd gear is too tall for crawling speeds although you can play around with clutch but I do not prefer to put extra load on it. It's my personal view as I am coming back from CI Royal enfields which are low RPM bikes hence the behaviour and characters are different. I did feel the rear Breaks lacks the bite which will improve over the time although my bike had some troublesome clip in the rear Breaks.
It's a fantastic machine and I am not the one who bought it for fancy gadgetry .I come from Royal Enfields family Fuel gauge , Tachometer itself is like ab Rulaiga kya kind of feeling for me [emoji23] I know I am not going to use even half of them. to me it was the engine, handling and ABS and rest I can built over it. I wanted a touring bike and I think with few Mods it should be a worthy one[emoji56] .

This is my first post here. I was just a visitor before this. But I really think it's high time I communicate with the pros here.

So here is my Duke 390 story.

I was using a Yamaha FZ16 for about 7years and it was time for an upgrade. Decided to go for a higher cc bike (above 150 ), and so began the research. Didn't really think at that time of buying a KTM.

I was about to buy the Pulsar 200NS but then Bajaj launched the NS without FI and ABS. Dropped the idea. Next was Apache 200 but then again no ABS and FI variant in India. Next came RS200 but I was never fond of the design. Looks ugly IMO (personal opinion, please don't get triggered).
Then came the duke200 but again at that time thought it was waste of money. Then launched the Dominar at a very lucrative price and it made to my list. Started doing some research on Bajaj and found a lot of unsatisfied customers. People were not happy with the quality of the bike and the servicing. So didn't want to take a chance. Also never really wanted to buy the Dominar for some reasons. Never could convince myself to go for it (hope you get the drift).

Then launched the KTM dukes 250 and 390. Man! Did the bikes look good or what. I was in awe. Decided to go for the Duke250. Started researching again. My friend bought the Duke250 and that made me want to buy it even more. But I still thought I was paying a lot for that bike. Only one question came in my mind "Is it worth it?", the answer was NO. Thought the extra features that the 390 provided over the 250 for the extra 60K was justified and absolutely worth it. All the reviews gave the D390 a thumbs up. That was it.

I went to the KTM Vashi showroom on saturday, 27th May. They told me the bike was available. I payed the booking amount, transferred the full amount Monday morning, got a call from them and was told the bike will be ready in the afternoon. I went to the showroom, did all the paperwork and the PDI. Everything went smooth.
                The bike was ready.

I live in Panvel, so had a good 30KM ride home. Went to the nearest petrol pump, fueled up and was ready to head home. The dealer instructed not to cross 6.5K RPM mark during the run in period. But to my surprise that's around 100KMph (top speed of my FZ is 110 ). The throttle response is absolutely amazing. I was so tempted to let it all go. But then I thought it's just 1000KMs. The tyres are fantastic. It's like they are glued to the road. The handling in traffic I found it to be better than my FZ despite weighing more. There are vibrations at 4K RPM but it's not a lot. People really over exaggerate that. You can live with the vibes. And I ride a YAMAHA. Covered 33Kms and the bike displayed a fuel economy of 33.6KMpL.

I have done 100Kms till now and the only negative I can think of in this bike are the random glitches. I too had the headlight issue. It went off for like one second and then came back. Yesterday gear position indicator vanished from the screen while riding. Stopped the bike and restarted it and it started working again. Both these issues were one time. Xiaomi devices are unable to connect to the console. Motorola works fine. I hope KTM fixes these issues soon. But this is a fantastic machine.

Waiting for my registration to be done and will be going on a trip after that.

                Thank you for reading.

Actually when I went to the showroom Saturday evening they told me they would have given me the bike that day itself if I had made the payment. But it was 6.30PM so I couldn't. So I booked the bike and had to wait till Monday. But yes I think I got lucky.
                      Thank you for the wishes.

I'd be interested in that bash plate & aux lights as well...

                        my mods are simple:

                        - sponge grips for hands (I got big hands yeah& helps with the vibes) (applied)
                        - hazard lights (ordered)
                        - fork sliders (ordered)
                        - thigh grips (ordered)
                        - side stand shoe (ordered)
                        - gel seat for touring (have to pick)
                        - windshield (jugaad maybe???)
                        - mobile charger (thinking if I should buy another or move existing one from my RC)

                        planned in future
                        - powertronics piggyback ecu
                        - quickshifter
