Couldn't find the screw to tighten it from behind so have been riding as it is as im not able to go to service centre.
The adjustment screw which is on top of the heat sink is loose.. I guess. This is becoming very common and irritating issue. Just tighten the screw and u r done for temporarily

No the headlamp is loose from the bottom end. There are a two screws, one at the each side I can see them but can't tighten as they are inaccessible.

Just want to know what are the current delivery time frame across other showroom as I do not wish to have an old stock. How can I identify if it is an old stock?
Anyone that can help me with this?

Guys, i think Thread locker could help here. Use some thread locker on the screw and tighten it. It should hold the screw in place. Easily available at local parts store.

The new duke was launched hardly six months ago and it was in waiting list for the first initial few months. No way, you could get any old stock. In the worst case, The max old stock that you could possibly get is 3 months, which is nothing in Automotive industry.

Hi fellow riders. Hope you are all doing well. I purchased my Duke 390 from Ktm Sector 18 Noida, U.P. and took delivery on 1st October 2017. Currently my bike has done 6000 km, with the first service done on 950 km at Ktm Service centre at Sector 2 Noida. Currently I am in Gorakhpur U.P. Recently I noticed that on using the throttle the engine rpm would increase but the bike would not pull forwards as quickly and with as much power as it used to. Today I visited Ktm Gorakhpur service centre to get the issue diagnosed and corrected. The mechanic there diagnosed it as a case of premature clutch wear. I asked them to replace the required parts under warranty but they refused stating that it's not covered under warranty. I am really shocked and surprised to find that the clutch plates could wear out so fast. Most of my kilometres were clocked on well laid highways doing 100-120 kmph along with sedate riding in city traffic. I never keep my hand on clutch lever while riding. Has anyone else experienced such issues or is the service centre taking me for a ride? Is it true that Ktm will not cover it under warranty? I have also emailed Ktm India customer service and am awaiting their response.

I cannot comment about your bike brand but all manufacturers don't cover Clutch wear under warranty.

I have seen people complaining about this at Hero, erstwhile Hero Honda, Bajaj, Suzuki (Cars) and Tata (Cars).
These all brands don't cover Clutch and brake shoe/pads under warranty. I hope the same is the case with other brands too.
If they cover your's, it will be under good will warranty. Try to push for that.

I have clocked 4K KMs so far without any major issues (except headlight flickering sometimes)

From last 1 week I had been noticing, the radiator fan speed is low (can measure from the humming sound coming from it ) at the start and it increases (sound & speed) after few KMs of riding.

Last Wednesday, while riding I suddenly noticed that coolant temperature bar has reached maximum and console is flashing a red alert.
I immediately stopped the bike and switched off the engine to let her cool down. After 20 mins, I restarted and thought of going home in Low RPM.
However, this time after approx 2 KM somehow fan started (gradually low to high speed) and bike was doing fine.

Today again, it happened 2nd time while riding to work, fan did not start at cut off temp bar followed by flashing red alert.
Again switched off the bike for 15-20 mins and fan started working again.
I took her to SVC today and explained the issue.

Awaiting their response! Will keep everyone posted if I have any update.

Has anyone else faced similar issue? What could be the possible root cause (fan/sensor/thermostat)?

Any suggestion would be really helpful!

Eventually it turned out to be faulty fan and got it replaced. Surprisingly I saw 3-4 fans lying around there waiting for the replacement.
SVC guy said, faulty fan issue is happening in 1 out of 50 cases, (I wonder ).

                            Haha.. lucky me [emoji14]
Jalandhar isn't far. A few hours till jammu and then a few more till the valley. It is extremely cold here.

The bike performed exceptionally good in the hills.

The key is here after the bike has been cooled down the coolant level should more or less remain the same, without showing drastically low coolant level in the expansion tank. Also, whenever one observes low coolant level after repeated topping up, it's IMPERATIVE to keep a tab on the engine oil level, and the color of it, the latter being very important.

Coolant disappearance can be caused by low coolant level in the radiator or an improperly bled system that causes fluctuations in the coolant level when the temperature increases or we have a mixing coolant with engine oil albeit at an extremely slow pace. Either ways it's very important to keep tab on both of these w.r.t. to coolant level and take immediate action if one observes change in engine oil color and coolant level.

Thanks VJ @B7ACKTHORN for pointing out all the issues that could go wrong with coolant issue. Even i read multiple posts and understood that it has to either mix with engine oil or improperly bled system. In my case i have been watching my engine oil and i do not see any milky appearance. I have showed it my friends who ride old 390 and confirmed engine oil looks okay. even SVC folks confirmed that engine oil looks good and moreover there is no white smoke. I have been visiting SVC center multiple times and those folks just try to come with easiest solution. 1st visit they made me change my radiator. Yes they changed the radiator without checking the issue thoroughly. The reason given was there was external damage to my fins. Even i could see the damage hence i did not argue further. The 2nd time they said pressure cap has some dirt in it and the pressure was not maintained right and they have now resolved it. However, even after all this the issue remains as it is. The coolant is still reducing. So now i suspect only improper bled system. Could you please let me know what is the process to rectify improperly bled system ? and how can we confirm if it is improperly bled ?

                              ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Does anybody know a good KTM SVC Center Mechanic in Bangalore who we can trust ? I have been running behind my coolant issue and following up with Indiranagar SVC center however i feel they have been making excuses and do not dig issues deeper. They say they fixed however the issue remains as it is. Any leads on this would help me !

it can be the throttle sensor... few guys have faced the issue with it... go to some other service centre nearby and tell them the throttle sensor seems to have some issue.. kindly check it with any instrument they have to check it... the sensor setting can also be the culprit here... I highly doubt your clutch plates are to be blamed here... it's a clear case of your sensor not able to read the throttle as it should
