Try tilting to the right,,check if oil is present or completely missing. If no oil is there,,take it to svc

Yeah, i tilted the bike a little towards right and I could see the engine oil level in between the two markings. [emoji28]

😂 You are good to go... Are you facing any problems with rear brake? My bike is making knocking sound when abs kicks in.

No, my bike is not making any knocking sound related to rear abs. However, a 'cheeeeshrrrrrr....' type of sound comes which sounds more like the sound of a door being opened after ages, which is normal with abs i guess..

That's not case with my bike,, the chain is knocking and making annoying sound while abs breaking.

                This bike is pocket rocket.
Always ready to race. Will need some help to clear some of my doubts.
                Congratulations brother.

Monday: Left details on Bikewale, requested callback from Khivraj motors. But couldn't contain my excitement, called up Langford KTM myself. Lady on the other end was very polite and helpful, said that we could discuss financing options if I came down to the showroom in person.
Tuesday: Morning, Khivraj motors called up. Said that they could put me in touch with Langford KTM. Ten minutes later, Langford KTM called up again and said the same thing as the previous day. I set up an appointment for Sunday morning.
Wednesday: Cousin offered to buy the D200 off me. While we took it to a mechanic nearby to get it spruced up, I called up Langford KTM but got no response because it was a holiday

Today morning, Ganesh from Langford KTM called up after seeing my missed call from the previous day. When I told him I'm looking for a 390, he said that they were getting a fresh batch of 390s today. Then he said that if I could make a payment of 1k today, they would reserve a bike for me so I can make down payment (around 65k) on Sunday comfortably. When I asked how long delivery would take, he said I could collect tomorrow if I completed the down payment today. A few minutes later, I sent the 1k, arranged for the down payment amount and am now sitting in office fighting the urge to go there and complete the rest of the formalities. Controlling my excitement was never so tough!

I'll reply with updates later on. Really, really looking forward to living with this lovely and scary beast. Life isn't gonna be the same any more! [emoji14]

                    Cheers everyone!

                    Update:

Kept on counting down the seconds till 5.30. Finally got into a cab and went to the KTM showroom just before 6. The dude named Ganesh was waiting for me there, and surprise - he and I went to the same school, and had even seen each other in the school auto a few times! Small world eh?
I told him I would be going for financing - 6.75% interest. Worked out to a down payment of ~61k and 12-month EMI of ~21k. This done, I provided the documents (payslips, bank a/c statements, PAN card, Aadhar, and what felt like hundreds of signatures. Had to give 5 photos and 2 cancelled cheque leaves, but didn't have them so promised to get them tomorrow when taking delivery)
Completed payment, ogled my new bike (it was sitting in the showroom, just have to clear some registration and verification formalities tomorrow before I get the keys) and headed back home. The whole time, I had a big, moronic grin plastered all over my face. Pretty sure it won't be going away any time soon.
                    Hey,

I got my D390 from the same showroom and same guy, but I didnt pay the 1k to reserve my bike, he said if I'd have paid 1k I would have got a bike which is only 2 to 3 kms on Odo, but the one got delivered to me was run about 12 kms and the reason he gave me was they did the tests and all on it, I wanted to ask you did you get a bike which is 2 or 3kms on Odo?

Although, the Bike is running good, but I wanted to know if the reason he gave me is legit? Or Did I get ripped off of 10kms on my new Bike?

I was very excited for my first Bike, so I took it.

I wouldn't have believed that excuse. They're customer relationship reps, not testers. My bike had run 4 km on odo and I've been told by friends that that's normal.

Well, I guess I cant help it now.. Sucks that KTM Langford does this, If i have pa8d the whole amount, I should be entitled to a new Bike, paying 1k extra for this privilege is just Non-Sense.
My bike has done about 200kms now, can something be done about it now?

Well, many showrooms ask for a booking amount just to make sure that they get the customer to buy from them(well cancellation can be done too and this booking amount is 100% refundable). This booking amount is not over and above the price of the bike but it gets adjusted in the downpayment amount. This is what I was told by Warje KTM here in Pune.

I think you should raise this concern with KTM. Anything upto 5 km on the odo for duke 390 is okay. I am not sure whether anything can be done in your case, but KTM should look into this.

Does anyone have an idea about the 3M coating for the tank? Langford guys recommended it, said it's equivalent to tempered glass for the tank, and whatnot.

My only concern is whether it'll be worth the money. Apparently it costs around 4k INR. Would it be cheaper elsewhere?

                                Thanks!
