    Small Update...
Prices of KTM bikes revised..(updated by Amba Bajaj KTM EC and KTM BTM)
In Bangalore --> a premium of Rs.3000 for Duke 200 and Rs.6000 for Duke 390
Its applicable for Dominar and other Bajaj bikes also. Please refer Dominar Ownership page for details..
Other people can confirm from other dealers and update here. Also people from other states

Is the price hike confirmed by KTM india or dealership is making extra margin on this coz there is no news / update on this from the official channel ?
    Ride HARD but Ride SAFE
    Cheers !!

Not sure ..I called the manager for some other matter and didn't ask much.. He said they are busy in making the price changes and deal with people who already paid and yet to take the delivery..

Also he said price hike 3000 for D200 and 6000 for D390.. not sure its on ex showroom price or its on the road.

Then immediately i started browsing about bike price hikes.. came across dominar ownership xbhp page where two people already discussed about price hike confirmed in two different bajaj dealership from Pune and Kochi.

But guess its not related to GST. It could be different, because still time is there to bring the GST hikes into effect.

Why i say like this is.. only bike above 350cc are supposed to get 31% price hike as per GST. Since D200 also got 3k hike, so I presume its not GST thing.

      Update:

Just called the KTM for the sake of price hike

above mentioned price hike is on ex-showroom so onroad price in karnataka will be even worse.

Its not related to GST.. Its official price hike from KTM and Bajaj(he mentioned 2500 rs price hike for dominar)

D200 price hike is already in effect and people who booked D390 already and registration which ll be done on or before 31st may need not worry but new bookings will be taken on new hiked prices..

I just spoke to Bangalore BTM showroom sales guy and he have confirmed that there will be a price increase from July 1st onwards and it is due to GST only(applicable for all models is what he said). If anyone is planning to buy it, it would be better to get it invoiced before July 1st itself.

I read somewhere there won't be much or as much as a neglible increase in the price, I guess you shouldn't worry too much on the gst increase.

He said the increase would be around 3% (not confirmed though) which would cost you additional 8.5K extra...that is a significant increase!

Hey guys, I booked my duke 390 in April and after almost 2 months of wait i will be getting my bike on Monday. Paid the full amount today. There has been no increase in price of duke 390. Only the price of rc 390 and rc200 hiked by 5500 and 3000 respectively. For duke 250 and 200 the price has increased by 3000 and 2500 respectively.

Exactly Ayush. Thats what dealer here in Bangalore also told. Duke 200/250 and previous model prices already increased.

Duke 390 till may month end will remain same and 6000 rupees will be increased from June 1.

390 price hike is on hold because its new in market and demand is more compared to 250.. many people like you already booked the bike.. so they dont want to disappoint customers who reserved the bikes..

KTM guys told its not related to GST. Its official price hike from KTM itself. Not sure though..

I commute daily between Bommanahalli and Marathahalli .. Silk board - Sarjapur road - Bellandur famous traffic is part of my life

For people from outside bangalore. its 11 km stretch. in peak hour it takes 1 hour to 1.5 hour on average and if its free i will travel in less than 15 mins

So if you have any idea on how this traffic is, you will get my point

I used to commute in 2016 D390.. now for last (almost) one week, i am on my new ride.

if you are someone riding in peak office hours( morning 8 a.m to 11:30 am and evening 5 p.m to 9 p.m) then going to 3rd or 4th gear itself difficult.. mostly you will be crawling in 1st/2nd/3rd gears and will be doing under 35kmph , unless there is a public holiday or bandh.

If you go after 12 p.m or before 7.30 am and return after 9p.m or before 4 p.m and if you are lucky to see empty road then you can use 6th gear..

I go mostly 12 p.m and return after 9 p.m.. i can do 85 kmph to 100 kmph easily. occasionally touch 110 also.. some times small jams here and there where need to crawl in 2nd gear hope it helps..

2017 D390 little forgiving than old model .. thanks to ride by wire

As you mentioned.. its worthy bro. Go for it..

High-five I daily travel from vijayanagar to sarjapur at 8:20 to 8:30am and leave office at 6pm. Initially I was worrier about Fe hence almost bought d250 but was not all satisfied with it, hence cancelled in the last minute and started collecting funds (another 4months)[emoji85] ..literally I count the no of days and the amount I can arrange by oct almost every hour. Damn its the hardest part to wait for anything you love. If I'm free in office I always tend to count the days and get bugged hence I myself ask for any project if I'm free [emoji14]

Btw two to three times have seen a guy on orange 390 2017 from sarjapur signal toward Wipro gate, is that you buy any chance?

Not sure .. I am riding new bike from monday only and i commute towards marathahalli. not towards sarjapura. From sarjapura signal i will go via bellandur.

if you saw me in ORR then it could be me . I ride with Accenture Bag i never seen anyone riding 2017 D390 in that stretch till now but have seen 2 guys regularly use D250 and Dominar

Finally spotted the elusive new 390 in flesh today here in Hyderabad.. must admit a definite head turner.
i've not been riding much the past two months.. took my 200 out for an early morning Italian tune up and was pleased to come across a family member!
Wondering if I should scratch my itch though am disappointed with the bump in price, pretty significant bump (probably they are trying to balance the prices/profits out, considering the 250 costs less though it uses a lot of components from a 390)

I would definitely recommend to scratch the old itch, Sid at least I can use a proper TS registered, well taken care of bike.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END

                              Hi All,

Please help me with my doubt... I have booked the D390 in March and the showroom guys are asking me to make a full payment. They are "promising" me that they will deliver the bike in 2 weeks. I was under the impression that the bike gets allotted to us, after which we make the necessary payments and documentation work. The registration is done in a day or 2 and then the bike is ours.
Could you please share your experiences and let me know how this works ? I have read in some threads that in spite of making the full payment, the delivery is delayed for some people.
Yes, its true you have to make full payment and then the bike will be delivered to you. But normally the time gap between your payment and the delivery will be around 2-3 days and not 2 weeks. Seems like the dealer depends on your payment for moving the bike.
Just tell them you want to see the bike and then you will make the full payment.

Hello All, took delivery of my KTM Duke 390 yesterday, time between booking and delivery less 10 days, initial experience, the bike is just awesome, rode it for 50 Kms today morning, it's just awesome. Fortunately no price change for Duke, RC is more expensive, price increases yesterday, initial impressions, ride quality much superior as compared to my 2010 P220, bike is smooth, could not do much because of the restrictions of RPM, it's just jumps to 6K every time you open the throttle, didn't feel the heat, but could not ignore the Fan noise, it's loud, will update more as the riding experience builds but to start with its just awesome, love everything. Btw coming from P220, headlights can be better. It's done 62 km on the display shows consumption of 32/100 Kms, but surprisingly after the ride of 50 odd kms, distance to empty increased to 260 Kms while it was 250 at start, will learn to understand the analytics better, haven't paired the Bluetooth yet, but overall once again very smooth as compared to Duke 390 2013
