Yes, this is not good for the clutch and would increase wear. The plates shouldn't wear out so fast since it is 1500kms old. As snoufaltariq said, do test out some other bikes regarding the in gear speeds, but would suggest to go easy as the engine hasn't run that many kms.

Wait for the dominar update.Duke 250 is good you can do 110 constant foor peg vibrations will be slightly there or you can even wait for the RE twins. If you hate RE then wait for the dominar update or just get a 390 man there is very negligible difference. The worth you get for your money is just awesome.Just go for 390 if you only tour and some city riding instead of getting a 250.Truth be told 250 is not worth for it's price.I fell for it's looks and a very different power delivery than any other KTMs.390 is light years ahead.Just get the 390.Dominar is also good but 390 is in a different league.

    1. When am riding with my team mostly comprised of avenger 220's and other such low power bikes will i feel overpowered? I mean like can i cruise at around 60 to 80 in top gear?

    2. I ride a pulsar 180 right now which i maintain very well and its very smooth. When i took the test drive Duke 250 for a ride i felt vibrations. Will these vibrations fade away and become refined? Because i also took the Dominar for a test drive 10 mins later and it was very smooth (it was in crap condition with many broken parts yet very smooth).

My brain sees dominar as the logical choice. But my heart cant decide between Dominar and D250. I seriously love the freaky looks of the d250.

I once rode from Madurai to Banglore (400 km) in a Thunderbird 350 and half way through when i took a tea break my hands were vibrating like a tuning fork. I dont want that to happen ever. Is there any other sub 2 lakh bike that will suit touring? Except cbr and mojo. Ok now thats a third question [emoji16]

I can feel more vibrations if I try to go beyond a speed limit in a particular gear. And that limit has incidentally reduced too much now.

For example on first gear without revving too much I can't go beyond 15-17km/hr and 24-28km/hr for 2nd gear. Same problem in other gears too. Has anybody else faced any such issue.? Could anyone please verify this speed on their bike.? Any suggestions to diagnose the issue is highly appreciated.
