Actually I realised that I haven't been using the rear brakes at all unless of course during panic braking where I had an uneasy feeling about the bike but couldn't point out to anything exactly. Then I decided to use just the rear brakes. I realised that the ABS only activates if the rear tyres have skidded somewhat. That is not the case with the front tyres.

I got delivery of my RR310 a week ago and finally went for a "high speed" run today. Loved the stability and handling but disappointed with the amount of vibes especially in the handle bar. Was wearing leather riding gloves but still faced similar buzzing after the hour long ride.

    1) I spoke to the service technician and hope to get this addressed in the first service but keen to hear if other owners noticed improvement after the first service?

    2) Any recommendations on after market handle bar weights/dampeners that have worked for you?

I am getting back to riding after a while so may also need to improve my technique and reduce the overall weight to my hands/keep a looser grip on the handle bar. Glad to get any inputs/online resources especially that help with touring.

    Cheers!

Buy handlebar grip covers for 40rs and slip them on, and enjoy reduced buzz. Available at most local spares shop in either rubber/foam material.

During service they will fit you with 3mm rubber padding on fairing area, which will reduce the vibs to great extent.

I wouldn't recommend any handle bar grip to any motorcycle. My experience, since they make the diameter bigger and will cause fatigue over long period of riding. Also i felt steering is not as easy as without grip.

I know many including myself who find it more comfortable with a slightly fatter grip, be it on a activa or something like a ktm (i use them on all my bikes). It doesn't cause any handling issues or fatigue.. I personally can ride 3-4 hrs non stop with or without those slip on grips, and i prefer the rubber ones, because the foam ones tend to get damp due to rain or sweaty palms.
And i find a quiet a few folks who nitpick about some 'vibe' 'sound' , for heavens sake these aren't battery operated vehicles and one should learn to understand & live with a bikes character/nvh levels rather than nitpik about some buzz in the bars.

Actually the bigger diameter over the handlebar makes my palm relaxed and not curvy all the time and hence the better blood circulation. I do hold them lightly and it makes a difference.

If it works, then no issue at all.
              Well said on vibration issue.

Thanks to all for the inputs on the handle bar grips. Will give it a try.

Nitpicking is in the eye of the beholder (or in the hands of the handlebar holder?)!

I wouldn't mind trying simple mods/add ons that will make my biking experience better! All suggestions welcome!

Actually i felt nothing after the service apart from the sound of exhaust getting a bit bassy. It was only after i took the bike on a couple of 100 km rides and some speed runs that it got a bit more sprightly. Continuously riding on speeds of 100 kmph and above improved the overall character of the bike to be honest.

Hi guys, Anyone fixed the chain knocking sound?. It is really annoying and nobody talks about this in the forum so far, is it that you guys don't have this issue?. And for matte black suggest some liquid for after cleaning to remove those water and soap patches. Also if any protection for matte black is there let me know.

The chain sound issue is common with few owners. TVS redesigned the chain roller with some rubber padding. Not sure how far it was working.

TVS has changed the roller. The noise has vanished now. But the life of the new roller would be less as it's rubber. Contact your service centre for this. Mumbai received the rollers yesterday.

Thanks, I checked with the service guy, He is not aware of such thing so i told him to check and let me know. And there are still heavy vibrations above 120 after first service. He had used 300v Motul. That's fine but around 4.5krpm there is some rattling vibrating noise some where near fairing let me know if you guys have this.

Guys let me know which service center in Bangalore is best for this bike. My current one is like 30KM from my home and also service quality is very below par, I have to rely on this forum for most of the things.

No Worries on rear abs. I think that is how it is tuned in this bike. Even I posted this same question earlier on this forum and one person told it actually good if abs kicks late but i was not convinced at that time. But now IMHO actually kicking abs late at lower speeds like below 35kmph is good for quick stop because at that speed it is fine if it skids for a little fraction of second but the real deal is above 50kmph rear abs works flawlessly like front. Trust me I did very hard braking throughout my 200km stretch at high speeds even at 130 and it was very responsive like how I felt it in the front.

Its good if someone else also gives their opinions on this.

Can any rr 310 owner confirm about the chain sprocket. A youtube video said it costs around 15k rs. They are not sure, but that's what they know as of now. Can any owners confirm, am planning to buy one as an upgrade from my 150cc.closest showroom that sell the 310rr is 100km away.

I can claim that the ktm has told me that ktm's brake pads are 30K too.

It's of common sense that the timing chain on a Fiat car is 9K inclusive of fitting and chain sprocket of the RR310 is 15K?

I really hope people research before posting such videos. Yet they are big youtubers lol.

This is just madness, maybe for views.
