any person with practical experience will tell you chain life depends totally on use and maintenance. i know folks on cbr/ktm's running stock chain for 30k km including me.. and these cost 60% of that price, even lower if you buy it from rolon directly.
of course wheels are cast aluminum, what do you think other manufacturer's do? steel/iron ?
brake pads.. alright, agree sintered costs more and the 310 employs EBC pads ? are you sure? i only had a quick test ride in Chennai recently, and did not find anything phenomenal in the braking even comparing it to the old ktm 200/390 (non sintered pads). well, if someone is coming from say a bike like the pulsar 150 or a smaller apache, then they might notice a significant improvement/feel in braking performance.
fuel gauge accuracy should be taken with a pinch of salt. if you still think it's on the dot right, so be it.
the bike hasn't been around even a few months and you have already assumed the life, quality etc etc ..

i just so happen to sniff a lot of tvs fan boys and the 'bmw' link making folks'/owners all the more..well.. never mind
the moderator boss doesn't like my sarcasm!
