Umm, aren't insurance claims cut down the prices of all the spares so that they need to pay less?
TVS has now released the price list of the spares and I'm a bit surprised that it actually comes a bit costlier. Well, I own a Pulsar 220 so they look costly.
To someone who is paying 2.5L, it must be dirt cheap. A Lamborghini air filter might cost 35K but then, the owner spent 2-3 crore on the car and the air filter might look like breakfast money to him/her but for us poor chaps, it is 5 months rent. [emoji23]

Thats awesome, yea DID is superior to Rolon. Hope RR also lasts 25000Kms+ as TVS says.

And the Chain sprocket would attract 28% GST afaik,so this 6.5K is including GST means, insane VFM considering its imported and its life.

The thread has become a place for war between TVS fanboys and the others. And yes about the spares prices they are expensive, quality will be determined after how they last and then people can state facts instead of assumptions. As for the average fuel consumption claims you shouldn't be relying on the display and should calculate by full tank to full tank method.
P.S: TVS dealers don't know how to handle customers they treat people like we owe them something.

Main reason being the bike is in demand and hence the showroom people taking advantage over the customer.

I don't think there is a demand for the bike. Initial demand, yes. Now that they have delivered most of the backlog bookings and dealer bikes for test drive and display purposes, the sales are slowly weaning off. MoM sales have dropped from March to April.

same S at most showroom irrespective of brand. try going to a honda showroom and asking for a cbr, they will point u to the bike and run away like its infected with some deadly virus . i noticed this seems to be more of an issue when you have such bikes being sold alongside smaller bikes that are sold in large numbers and form the bread and butter for most dealers. bajaj did a good move moving ktm separately, they will try to sell you the bike.. but as usual after sales service is the same nonsense that we have to go thru at most places.
Two wheeler riders are given step motherly treatment, that's how it is in this country.

P.S: if you want to be treated well, maybe walk in with a camera and pose like you vlog or something

The less we talk about Honda the better, they are only here in India to sell 125cc bikes and the scooters.

You guys should seriously buy your bikes from Hare Krishna TVS Mumbai for a real good experience ! Amazing after sales ! Atleast people staying in Mumbai can do that !

when did it come with ebc ?
the brake system is by bybre iirc which is a subsidiary of brembo making brake parts for small/mid capacity motorcycles. the pads as you posted are probably imported brembo units while the calipers etc are made in India by bybre (by brembo).
