Re: TVS Apache RR310
I had the gear shift problem in my bs4 model initially too. It went away on its own in a few days after I clocked a few hundred kms.Originally posted by TheExpendble View Post

Re: TVS Apache RR310
True the bike IS vibey, a funny incident i would like to share.Originally posted by Sird View PostI've owned and still have some majorly famous bikes of this segment but this is the only one which has most vibration. Service centre told me I cannot switch to Motul and will have to stick to TVS oil for warranty. I don't like this shit oil at all but can't do much due to warranty.
I've used Motul from a long time in Bajaj, KTM, Kawasaki, Yamaha and every single gave me better performance and less vibration. But TVS [emoji2369]
Will have to wait for warranty to over.
Me and a friend were on a breakfast ride, he was riding his smooth Interceptor 650, i was leading, after around 90kms of highways some weird buzz started coming from beneath, i couldn't figure it out so i slowed down my pace, my friend soon caught up with me told me to stop, and then he showed me the culprit of the buzz.
It was the saree gaurd! It has loosened up and was rubbing on the tyre! Just a day before i fixed it back on the bike, tightened all the nuts positively! But because of the vibes the nuts got all loose and saree gaurd was hanging by just one nut that connected it to the bracket on swingarm other 3 nuts were missing [emoji2357]
Rode slowly towards a puncture shop and got new nuts fitted. Point being the engine is really raw! When i upgraded from Pulsar 220, i thought maybe now i will get to experience a smooth bike but no[emoji28].
With great (single cylinder) power comes great vibrations!

6 years - 3 Pulsar 220's and total around 1lac kilometer all around India. Bajaj is not known for refinement but that bike was much better than this.
You should ride the Apache from 1st lot when it was launched. Man that vibrates like a 10 year old junk.
Maybe with passing time TVS will learn to find solution for this.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Get a Test ride of RTR 160/200 4vs; you will never ever complain of Vibrations in current iterations of RTRs. I own an RTR 160 (April 2009) which has clocked 1.3 lakhs kms, with one engine overhaul; in addition the gearbox and cam are still running stock. Pulsars can never match reliability of any RTRs. Intact, how many RTRs have you seen emitting white smoke?. Very few, or even less.
Coming to another point, RR 310 does vibrate but it is not deal breaker. One should frequently and passionately check his bike before riding. Most of my rides were on highways and never felt anything getting loosened.

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Also, I doubt on veracity of the fact that you have any RR310? You are just here to promote Bajaj and defame TVS in a very tactful and circumvential manner. Please, stop doing so. This group is made to address queries of fellow RR310 owners. If you like to praise pulsars, you may look forward to the concerned ownership page.Originally posted by Sird View PostOh Pulsar 220 and I are like best freinds.

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Chill a little brother, this is an Ownership experience thread, we are sharing our experiences about the bikes, which in this case is the RR310 and not the RTR 160/200, and we all have comparisons based on the previous bikes we have owned. I agree vibes are not a deal breaker, actually once you spin the throttle you forget about the vibes because of the enjoyment this grunty engine provides. And i am more than happy with my RR310, but it does not changes the fact that BS4 RR310s are vibey.Originally posted by Tushar 26 View PostGet a Test ride of RTR 160/200 4vs; you will never ever complain of Vibrations in current iterations of RTRs. I have heard the BS6 models have certain smoothness to their power delivery which makes them feel almost vibe-less, and maybe addition of better tyres also adds to this attribute.

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Thank you brother... Everything is fine, but having ridden RR310 for 14k Kms I can say that to compare it with P220 is unfair. The bike is not that bad. Single Cylinder engine are at odd side of physics, so one should not get over carried by vibrations.Originally posted by Jitu Badlani View PostChill a little brother, this is an Ownership experience thread, we are sharing our experiences about the bikes, which in this case is the RR310 and not the RTR 160/200, and we all have comparisons based on the previous bikes we have owned. Due to my foreign assignment, I am not able to get a test ride of BSVI RR310. Well I wish if the latest upgrades can be made in BSIV RR310, shall be a great news.....

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Hi all,
I have successfully imported the BS6 RR310 to UAE and registered. Overall, a Great Motorcycle. I will give a brief initial Review:
I will be using the bike every alternate days to my work that covers 100 kms.
I have driven around 350 kms so far.
Average Mileage is 30kmpl because my commutes are 120 kmph+
Maintaining a speed of 80-90 kmph will give you 35+ kmpl, which is great
In Urban mode, i have clocked 133 kmph speed
My settings in the Instrument Cluster are all Auto Mode. The Day/Night Mode switch is sometimes a miss. It wont always switch to Night mode.
The Bluetooth Connectivity to the app is a nightmare. I always have to kill the app and relaunch for it to establish a successful connection, which i have to do always when taking a ride.
The App has only Indian maps, i hope they update to cover other countries.
For me, service and Maintenance will be an issue, as there are no authorized dealers here. I am really concerned about unlocking the Sports and Track mode after 1000 km. I really hope someone here can connect me to any TVS After-sales / Support Manager so i can speak to them to unlock the modes remotely in a secure way by connecting the dongle (I have figure out a way to buy the dongle). I have heard good things about TVS Customer Care. Hope they help
Few errors i have experienced:
1. Today there was a message that said: "Close Throttle" all the time when i was riding
2. Once the cluster showed: Service due in 250 kms, when my odo was 260 kms
I have to say, the headlight is fantastic and very bright, specially the high beam. The blue line on the low beam cut-off shield is phenomenal.
Riding is not bad, its very difficult to tolerate the wind resistance.
I will be doing below mod today, because i think it looks much better. I will just black-out the extended strip.
I have also started a TVS community if anyone is in to reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/tvsmotor/

I am also settled in Kuwait and due to absence of an authorized SVC here, I dropped plan to bring my RR310 with me.
Anyways, wish you a great luck ahead and enjoy the ride..
