    A question to the owners.
So far I've seen only 1 post on Mileage and I know that mileage is not something when you buy a bike like R15.
But I wanted to know what kind of mileage figures are you guys getting on you v3 (City and Highway)?
Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)
    Yamaha YZF R3 (Jan 2016 - Present)
    TVS Scooty Zest 110 (Oct 2017 - Apr 2018)
    TVS Ntorq 125 (May 2018 - Apr 2019)
    KTM Duke 125 (Apr 2019 - Dec 2019)

O2 sensors are expensive and they are fixed on the exhaust manifold or on the exhaust itself. If this is faulty or chewed off, your engine can bog, run crappy and stall frequently. The reading that you see on the dash is an error code. The folks at the SVC will check this fault code to the fault code directory and take the necessary action. If the manual states 24 as O2 sensor issue, then in all probability your sensor is to be replaced. Keep your observations posted.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

It's always the rats right! Happened to my R15 as well and also read that it has happened to other r15 owners as well.

          Typical Yamaha SVC attitude.

O2 sensor are indeed expensive but if the v3's have the sensor and the connecting cable as separate units (Mostly, they should.) then you can simply get away by just replacing the bitten cable which should much cheaper.

They said they had to replace the entire wiring kit costing 5k. I didn't agree and asked them to join the broken wire ( b4 and after pics attached) which they did. Now bike pick up is noticeably fast, guess they have bypassed it. Now my question is - is it bad to ride without O2 sensor working?Click image for larger version

Thanks for the reply, dint see it. Can you tell whether it's done properly by seeing the pics. O2 sensor is fine but the wiring towards wiring kit was damaged and they said they have connected but I feel noticeable difference in pick up as it's faster than earlier.

I just had my first service done a couple of days ago.
Before the 1st service I have had a mileage of 48-52kmpl.
My commute involves 30% slow moving traffic and about 70% highway runs.

                      That's a pretty good number.
I guess you don't ride aggressively.

                              Hi there,
Its good to see a thread that's active for the V3. Yours truly Richie from Chennai.
I own a R15 V3 and I use it for my daily commute, apart from my Yezdi, Jawa & my P180.
I recently did a trip from Chennai to Cochin,on my V3 with a friend of mine( also on his V3) and its was fun apart from the saddle sores.
I shall do a detailed write up on it along with the modifications done on the bike.
