Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
Can anyone give me ideas for touring setup on the v3 , I'm looking for a tail bag , or saddle bag . I'm gonna be carrying a backpack with camera gear as well so gonna be mounting the tailbag + backpack behind . Any options worth considering ? I'm currently looking at viaterra claw , rynox expedition trail bag . Don't know much about saddle bags so can't decide which would be good .

Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
I think your gear indicator cable is faulty. Get the cable and wiring checked once. If it's a new bike, it should be replaced via Warranty.Originally posted by shravansp24 View PostGuys.. Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
went to the svc the day after delivery but since i had to leave immediately, they didn't do anything... however they told that plugging out and plugging it back in should solve the problem (however I don't believe that's the case since my old duke 200 also had the exact same issue #myFate and changing the cable was the solution). Will have to check it out on MondayOriginally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostI think your gear indicator cable is faulty. Get the cable and wiring checked once. Also I can hear a buzz(like two metal pieces buzzing/vibrating against each other) if I cruise above 60-65kmph.. The sound goes if I hold the clutch and the other day at the SVC, they revved the bike and no such sound came from the engine.. but I can hear it post 65kmph and the sound goes off if I hold the clutch and it comes back once i disengage the clutch

It's your key ring which is vibrating. Also, do u feel buzz in the seat around 6k and above ?Originally posted by shravansp24 View Postwent to the svc the day after delivery but since i had to leave immediately, they didn't do anything... however they told that plugging out and plugging it back in should solve the problem (however I don't believe that's the case since my old duke 200 also had the exact same issue #myFate and changing the cable was the solution). Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
The gear indicator cable plug had a faulty pin and was replaced and now it's showing fine. But felt very sad as they hammered a spanner near the engine part of a brand new motorcycleOriginally posted by #bpk View PostIt's your key ring which is vibrating. regarding your comment,
I'm not sure... will have to check it tomorrow while I travel to office... I don't feel any buzz in my seat, Just a little in the foot pegs and handlebars and it's fine I guess for such a new bike as it's smoother than my duke which has clocked 36000KM.
Also can anybody explain me the fuel reading? like 1 bar is equal to how much L of fuel(like in my ktm, 1 bar = 1 litre)? I'm not able to find it in the manual and the dealer just said if it's blinking at the last bar, it means it has less than 1.8-2l of fuel...
And as I'm commuting around 110kms(up and down) including traffic and highway, I can feel my right wrist hurting after the ride and lower back pain after a nights sleep(not serious, but hurts a little) will I get used to it or should I live with it? :/
btw thank you guys for your suggestions..

Regarding the pain you were complaining my experience was the same but you’ll get used to it ,though in high traffic areas my wrist pains even today else nothing much
Secondly about the fuel reading i refuel as soon as 2 bars are left and it consumes approx 6-6.5 l everytime to full so it is approximately 2litres per bar.
Thanks[emoji3]

Why would you use this when there are other engine oils which are equal or better than this at chaper prices ?Originally posted by prasath_xbhp View PostHas anyone of you R15 v3.0 owners used this oil in ur ride?. kindly share ur opinions...
. The price is Rs. 1300/- in yamaha dealers in chennai.

Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
I know what you're talking about. I own the Abs version it also has the same buzz. For me it's the Metal Clip that goes in the nut of the Pillion Rider's right footpeg. Check it while you rev the bike to about 4500+ rpm.Originally posted by shravansp24 View Postwent to the svc the day after delivery but since i had to leave immediately, they didn't do anything... however they told that plugging out and plugging it back in should solve the problem (however I don't believe that's the case since my old duke 200 also had the exact same issue #myFate and changing the cable was the solution). yes that is why I'm curious to know how this performs in the real world conditions since its priced almost on par with Motul 300V2 Organic Base.Originally posted by himu View PostWhy would you use this when there are other engine oils which are equal or better than this at chaper prices ?
