    Hello,
I have an interceptor bs6 2700km on odo, since the past week I've noticed a humming sound from the front. The sound appears only when the bike is started, during Idle, and upto a limit when the engine sound makes it barely audible. Has anyone experienced a similar sound from their int650, is it normal or something is faulty?

Youll have so many suggestions from everyone but i'd recommend you to tick to the manual. Till the time you bike is in warranty, its RE's responsibility to keep it healthy but if you go and get something done to the motorcycle from outside like a service then RE can say no for simple under warranty repairs. Stick to it and you'll have someone to go to if anything goes wrong.

If you are trying to start the motorcycle after that long my suggestion would be to do it after an oil & fuel changed.
It is a 30min job and even if your bike's battery has run out of charge, the local mechanic or the dealership guys can get a spare battery.
After the lockdown in 2020 i had called booked an appointment for Service on Wheels for the same. The guys came, changed the oil, emptied the fuel and the battery had some charge (i had removed the negative terminal before leaving it) and the bike started with ease in the 2nd Kick. This keeps you stress free.

Can anyone confirm if changing the stock air filter to after-market ones like DNA or K&N will void the warranty or not?
Any such changes to the motorcycle may lead to the warranty getting void. The bike has a long life so why not enjoy it the way the manufacturer has made it atleast till the warranty period is over?
This also gives you a chance to upgrade (by using the aftermarket stuff) when you get bored of the motorcycle in a few years.
I have tried installing an aftermarket exhaust and the air filter of my Standard 500 and ran with it for a few years but then returned to the stock ones and the it runs super smooth now.

Always wanted to own a better powered bike
first in college (2012) was dreaming abt ns200, then duke 200, then it was cbr 250 , then came duke 390 ( was there for long ) and then ktm adv 390 last year
But I never ever thought I would go for a RE bike
Thought so much and after taking a test drive bought the twin cylinder bike finally. I don't know if I made the right decisio. I just like the feel of the bike's power delivery better than ktm 390.

Congratulations. Hope you get your bike soon. Which colour have you booked? I personally like the 2 new Solid Single Colour Ones. Blue and Red.

Usually, any such change technically voids the warranty. However, I suggest you run it stock for at least 6 months or the first 2 services.

Oil and fuel would be stagnate and all gung collected at the bottom. If the timeline is beyond manufacturer drain interval, then oil would've lost its properties. Hence either getting oil drained or shaken before trying to start the bike is important.

Same with fuel which loose its properties after 3-6months of stagnated storage.

I am not entirely sure if it does or doesn't. Worst case scenario, you can simply switch to the stock air filter before visiting the SVC.
