Castrol/motul have a sweet and smooth feel while accelerating, especially motul. I guess I am addicted to that smoothness and hence feeling the hero oil to be annoying!
Use the one made by Tide waters india limited (veedol).

I tried it but it's inferior compared to Honda mineral oil.

Bike feels slightly rough. Castrol activ felt smoother.

Strangely the clutch pull has become slightly harder ever since the oil change.

Engine starts instantly and warms up in no time.

But I think I will be reverting to Castrol again just because of this annoying roughness.

My butt becomes sore just after 1hr of riding in this bike and the seat is stock. Even in my Activa, I have ridden without sore butt ( but get elbow pain with it) for around 2hrs continuously.

I can’t increase the cushioning much too as I’m tall which will affect the handlebar reach.

    Any input appreciated.
The pain is temporary, try meditation.

    Sir,

My Splendor is behaving strangely & emitting white smoke, when started without accelerator and left to idle on its own even for 5 or 10 minutes.

And when at standstill, if the engine is raced for even 10 seconds, then the white smoke emission stops. Again, no such emission is there, if it is started with slightly open throttle and is driven straight away.

If it is driven for either 100 metres or 10 kms, the engine does not emit white smoke even on racing the engine
The Spark plug does not show like it is soaked in engine oil. It shows lean AFR..So my opinion is that the Valve stem seals had gone bad leaking small amount of oil while parked, which is burnt at start up emitting white smoke . Get the Valve stem seals changed at ASC..
    Good Luck..

Thanks for the info. I thought the toolkit provided with the motorcycle is crap, but actually it's a life saver !

    EDIT :
Hero is using super tight clearences from 2010/bs3 models and even tighter clearence for bs4 models. And these take almost 15-20k km to run in properly [emoji43]. Hence a 20w grade is not suitable in this period.

The old/pre-2010 model bikes can run on any grade of oil but it is not the case with the newer ones.
Thanks. I will change it tomorrow itself and post the results in few days.

I change it in between 1.5k-2k km. It's the point where the oil starts to loose it's viscosity and you start to feel slight harshness. There is no drop in oil level.
