Accelerates freely, but no good spark on checking from 1 cm distance .

Does not start on 1st kick. Most of the time starts daily with choke.

Veedol 20 W 40 engine oil being used.

Should I change the Excitor Coil ?

    Black smoke coming on accerating,

Valves polished, Stem Seals ₹74 changed, Oil Seals on Half Packing ₹50 changed alongwith Aluminium Packing.

After 30km drive, though pick up and compression have improved, the plug still shows fresh hard Carbon deposits.

What could be the reason ?

    Ignition Coil changed.
    Plug Cap changed.
If the spark is still yellowish and sometimes there is no spark on cranking, what could be the reason ?

please enlighten on the role of Charging Coil as well.

We also call it a pickup coil or timing coil or pulser coil is responsible for providing the timing signal to CDI. This is the coil which tells its the right time to spark when the piston is at TDC.

Excitor feeds the CDI. CDI have capacitors which keeps holding the charge and release to ignition upon receiving the signal when TDC.
umm... i would say very very rare that changing excitor would help. I know most dont change the ignition its bit expensive but i have experienced that. Things have its lifespan and coil degrade over time.

Un-burnt Fuel, Poor Fuel Economy, Misfiring, Stalling, Jerking, Rough idling, Poor Power, Hard Starting are some of the symptoms.

If spark appears weak change the ignition coil.

++You can also inspect the ignition coil using multimeter and you need to google on that.

The company shocks are good enough. There's not much difference between Glamour & Shine ones. Go for stock.

So I changed it to the Super Splendor chain set from DID. This chain set performed really well, it didnt need so frequent adjustments, & it didnt make much noise. I think it is an O ring chain set.
Now the bike is nearing 1 lac Kms. Few months back i got a link removed from the chain & it has behaved well till now. But now the mechanic has suggested to change the chain set as the sprocket teeth are becoming sharp-ish (thinner).

The original chain set was 14T by 44T (i think), The super splendor DID chain set was 14T by 42T (I think) , so it would have over geared my bike, but i was happy with its performance as the bike was behaving good. Now the Glamour chain set is 14T by 43T (again I think).

So which chain set should i go for as i want an O ring chain set = Super splendor or Glamour ? also which company = Rolon or DID or any other ? Although DID is very hard to find these days & mechanics are saying that it doesnt have the excellent quality of the olden days now.
Or if you guys have any other chain set that fills my requirements, please say. @sibun sir, @Pinaki da , your valuable guidance on this matter.
    Thanks.

Use rolon solid bush chain. It is coming with thicker bush and will last longer. Your OE fitment is 14/44. You use the same or go for splendor y2k which is 14/43.

14/42 will cause loss of mileage in city riding condition.

You can use passion plus 14/44 or glamour 14/43 its thicker than passion pro. If you cant find DID you can use Diamound/Rollen/IFB Brands . All are good brands .All are oe suppliers .
