I am gonna try the fork springs from ZMA though, as Technician suggested.

Kunjal, I saw your bike in one of the threads. It looks fab, and I'm sure performs like that too. I have done a lot of thinking and left my bike as much stock as possible. I fell for the looks, and don't mind the performance as of now, but the forks can definitely be changed. Only prob is the bike won't be of much value compaed to the cost incurred, when I am ready to part with it. ZMA alloys and disc - I had talked to a guy who was selling cheap, but then decided against it. For K&N, there's no one in this city who can upjet the carb suitably, hence there goes another mod. If possible, tell us any jet sizes suitable for pairing with K&N and where you got them from.Originally posted by kunjalsingh View Post

All good things come to an end...
Hey guys, last evening my CBZ got stolen from in front of a retail outlet. The irony is that two constables were posted hardly 10 feet away from where the bike was parked. Apparently, the lock had worn out and I was stupid enough not to get it fixed/replaced
. Will post details in another thread.

I just like the Engine of Zma fit it on the Cbz chasis..And your Speed Rocket is Ready to Fly..I like up the CBZ ..I got the whole front shockers and disc plate in just 1000bucks and i think it not much costly.Actually one of my friend is a garage junkie and he modifies the bike too..So i get all the parts at very cheap rate.Thats y i installed whole front.Xenologik from banglore came to Delhi and he took up a ride on my bike and he was quite shocked to see up my Bikes performance..Originally posted by Technician View Post++1. The speedos of CBZ and Pulsars UPG I were damn accurate. Just 1-2 kmph here and there.
Also, instead of changing the whole front set up from ZMA, if you have changed just the springs of front shockers, it would have done the same thing. Any way, great mods.
And if it can do 125 kmph, why to buy ZMA?
Technician if i am not wrong upjettingis required for K&n but if we just open up the carb and clean its jet and fit K&n ..It works as well.In my view upjetting is not necessary to fit K&N..Can you throw some light on it??Originally posted by diffuser911 View PostK&N, there's no one in this city who can upjet the carb suitably, hence there goes another mod. @diffuser911- Great loss, man. Sorry for it.
@kunjalsingh- I am not evening using a K&N filter. Just stock filter albeit slightly modified by thinning. As you seems to be a knowledgeable guy with an interest in modifying, you must be knowing that the selection of main jet is a compromise between top end and mid range requirements. For example, a 105 is stock on CBZ. 107 would improve the midrange but make top end a little rich. And 102.5 would improve your top end but make mid range dry. So going to say 110 would improve your mid range but affect top range in a negative way. Since you are going upto 125 kmph, the current seems to be OK even with K&N. But midrange might not as good.
BTW, 125 kmph at what rpm, gear and with what sprocket & tyre.

Even I m running on Stock Jets with K&N.. wen I checked with ma mech he said dont go for Upjetting else U l get very low mileage.. i have done 550kms a day on the recent trip with no problem ( touchwood) & i thnk the tuning is set with decent pick up so m not worrying much about Upjetting now..Originally posted by kunjalsingh View Post

Actually most members thinks that upjetting is necessary but in my view its not necessary>withour Upjetting K&N works well..When i clocked 125 i was using normal 17 inch spoke wheels, removed access weight from bike i.e. main stand,CBZ head light etc.Tyre mrf zapper 100 section in rear and mrf zapper normal in front(dnt remember specifications of tyre)And for sure the Sprocketing was done by my friend who is a garage junkie..We used Ambitions Sprocket in rear and dont remember the front one. Will update the sprocket details earlier used very soon by asking him.I was on 5th gear and rpm don't know(because at that moment my rpm meter was not working)..Now a days i am using Zma's sprocket in which it goes upto 110.By crouching 115 is maximum. And now a days bike is heavy too because of the main stand,Zma's Alloys and 130 dunlop monster in rear and normal 18" normal mrf zapper in front. But i think so 115 is quite a decent speed in these conditions. In few days i will work on the CBZ DRAG PROJECT(for sure i will fit ZMA's Engine and will try to improve that Too as its a copy of Honda bike you know the diiference,The zma's power is restricted to 17bhp because of its CHAME)Am i right? Will need your help too for that project.Last edited by kunjalsingh; 09-01-2009, 03:40 PM.

Good mods. With the removal of all those even essential things like main stand and lights, the bike must have been quite light like almost a drag bike.
Are you sure? Because ZMA wheels are 18 alloy wheels. Also, if the front was really 17" wheel, the 125 on speedo would be somewhat like 116-117 on speedo (17" wheel spins more times than an 18" wheel to cover the same distance). Still even that speed is very good considering that till recently the other bikes upto 180 cc like P180, P200, RTR 160, P150 etc. do reach only 117-118 as published figures. When i clocked 125 i was using normal 17 inch spoke wheels, removed access weight from bike
I would be happy for Any info I can provide for Drag project.

Yup it was 17"...BUT This sunday after i got my bike serviced i will test it on 18" Zma alloys, and ZMA's sprocket, will remove its excess weight..Will fit 100 section tyre removing up 130 dunlop monster as its quite a heavy tyre..After that i will update up the top speed in 18"... Brother you are right that 17" wheel spins more times than an 18" wheel to cover the same distance but like the R15 was also showing up the 125 on its speedo..Will update you about that project in the pm it will be started when i will have the sufficient funda for that..Can you sive me some your tips on high and low lift chame.

help me guys...
hello mates
jatin this side
first of all good to see a thread relating to our very own legendary cbz.
secondaly i need your help guys. as have posted earlier that i got 2001 model
red coloured hh cbz classic edition. last month i got an crash.
and after
that there some serious issues started up in my bike...
such as the gears got hardened. so my mechenic suggested me to change the gear shaft as well as the opener type thing called as gear selector. i changed it all along with it i also changed my clutch plates as were completely weared out..
but after changing these also the hardness of gears are not compleately gone. so again he(my mechenic) opened up the clutch part of the engine
and told me that there is a play in a container type thing that holds clutch plates and the bearing from which the gear shaft passes is broken... i am not relying on him... other thing vibrations got started so plz guide me well guys......vese bike is in the very stock condition no upgrades except k&n. i have started the thread also but dnt know for which reason is still not approved by mods...
thnx

@Jatin: get it checked at the authorised HH service center, in case you are not doing it already. Also, please check with other bike model owners, since one of them could have experienced this issue earlier.
@All: Sorry for not being able to send the CBZ workshop manual. I'm pretty low right now due to my baby getting stolen last week.

Hi All,
Finally a "Classic CBZ" ownership thread
. I was about to start one, when i saw it has already been started.
Well guys, i own a September, 1999 Black Disc Model and have clocked almost 1,40,000 + on his bro of mine. Dont know exactly as cant remember.
No other bike could please me as he did, although i own a Ninja 650R here in US now, i still look forward to go back and ride my bro. This time when i went in June, i carried with me projection lamps from Bentley. And it worked wonders on him. My bike was standing there for almost a year, and when i tried starting him, he was up i second kick. I felt so proud
There are few problems and need to be taken care of, which i will do next year. And i have loads of changes in store for him too.
Gears have hardened up, sometimes 5th gear never comes up.
Things i have planned:
1. Change rear suspension to monoshock, will try getting CRF150 swingarm from here.
2. Rear tyre from FZ-15.
3. Will remove all the plastic stuff.
4. Tank is rusted, so will get it fixed.
5. Overhaul the engine myself.
6. Install a digital odometer.
7. Fabricate a frame for the projection lamps.
I never felt much vibration even when crusing at 90+ consistently.
Stability is top notch .. Touch Wood
I have tinkered the electrical thou, changed the original rectifier to Pulsar 7 A rectifier, and upgraded the battery to 5 A model.
RPM Meter stopped working long time back (so so long back that i dont even remember
)
This is how it looks with a projection lamp upfront.

I know the red helmet sucks, but thats what i could get my hands on
My original helmet that i bought with the bike is a black ninja, and while searching for it i figured out that it was serving the purpose of a rat nest in the recent past, so gave it to my friend to wear, the one sitting behind me
he he
Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE - The word itself says I M POSSIBLE.
