I've been reading about the geocruiser in tyres thread and I guess the Karizma thread too. just search for that keyword in those threads.

First time hearing positive review of GeoCruiser in wet from Sai.

          • For the 1st time my baby let me down....that too when i had an urgent work.....!

But the lucky / funny thing was it stalled right in front of Arun's home (kiran TVS service supervisor........he's the person who always looks after my bike in SVC) and to my shock he was at home....he bunked office

i realised the the spark pulsg aint getting current and i could'nt figure out wat was wrong.....he came and open up the plug cap........and it was burnt

We replaced the pulg cap.....got from a near buy TVS showroom, and i ran fine! Plug cap costed abt 54rs.

            @RTR owner!

Arun said that RTR plug caps gives way / burns faster than fiero's or other's. Reason - he said thts coz of some sulpher in the plug cap which reacts with water!(not sure if this is true).

Just keep checking ur plug cap at regular intervals and change them atleast once in 20k kms!

P.s - Saw a brand new moped in malkajigiri TVS showrrom.....the owner wants to sell it after there was a small hitch with it.....its a golden opp to those who want the moped....it has hardly done 150kms.........!

Satish, 30mm difference in disc size would cause a considerable difference in positioning of the calipers. Shouldn't it?
damn! this happened again today.....guess there some dirt in the tank/fuel cork!

First this and now the spark wire........my bike has started to show signs of aging

                    1. Any major components need changing at this juncture? So far I've changed only the disc pads @ 14k, brake shoes @ 15k, and spark plug @ 18k. And of course routine things like oil, oil filters, fork seals, fork oil, brake fluid, etc.

                    2. There's some insane leakage above my cylinder head, I guess it's originating from the timing chain (?) and it's globs of oil! I've been asking TVS, Castrol, and my mechanic to get this sorted for the past 12 months but to no avail. Any private mechanics highly recommended by any experienced members here, or any alternate solutions to end this problem?

                    3. I'm planning to fit a 100/90x18 Michelin M45 or Dunlop GeoCruiser tomorrow, as well as an MRF Zapper FS front tyre. Are these good brands?

                    4. Also on the cards for tomorrow are: NGK spark plug (what is the A150's heat rating?), aftermarket air filter, and white halogens or high-powered stock wattage bulbs. Any recommendations for the filter and lights?

                    5. Anything else you guys would advise/recommend or that needs doing?

                    Thanks!

EDIT: Any good mechanics who can do post-K&N jetting for the Apache 150 (preferably who have done it before) in Hyderabad/Secunderabad?
machi! all i can say is go to kiran and hand over ur bike to sanjay or sripathi!

else why worry ur selling ur bike anyways

Looking at the above pics, it looks like there is an extra bracket that is holding the caliper for the rtr.

                          Some more pics..

The beheaded alien. I love riding my apache without its headlamp. Seriously. To such an extent that i am going in for a round headlamp to reduce all that unnecessary weight up front.
