i dont think you have to change them...afaik both have the same assy right?

or does the increased disc size cause a problem?

        • RTR disc pads for Just 100 bucks!

Its been over 6k kms since i serviced my bike....am completly broke so i had to postpone it since my service bill was over 4-5k rs I just changed the oil at 5k kms. i thought the brake pads were almost worned out and i just could'nt put 500+ bucks for them.....

But someone said that A150's and RTR's have the same pad's...so there must be some after market pads form em........went to my mech he confirmed the same went to a local automobile shop and 1st bought a KBX pads but it did'nt fit.....then my mech sugested to get cbz pads....to my surprise it was a direct fit. I got ASK pads just 100 buck

So now Zma/cbz/A150/RTR have the same pads.....Zma owners can use RTR pads for 350 buck instead of spending 1500+ for nissin pads

          ASK pads

          My RTR pads....!

Cant see clearly in your pics, but that looks like some kinda uneven colouring/burning on your plug. Check it out.

As its just 5 k km old, ideally you should not need to replace it. Just check the gap and check if the edges haven't become blunt.

            Thats a Bosch plug, right?

              Here's proof of my talk:
              1) P200's brake pads

              2) Unicorn's Brake Pads

              3) CBZ/ZMA brake pads that are a direct fit on Apache/ RTR too.

the round holes are the holding points for the pads by the calipers unit. Not questioning you but this is to myself... how would the Uni's pads fit on ZMA/RTR !!!

these two posts shed a lot of info n ways to save money as well

@hyd.... no offence..but if i knew hw it all worked then i dnt think i wud have posted it here..i had my doubts which i wanted u guys to clear...

@satish... u jus saved my money to part away from my wallet.. my fren owns a zma... i guess il recommended him this onli..... he complains i screwed his brake pads....

which bring me one more stupid query..

my fren said my brakin pattern is wrong/.....

              it goes something like this...

wen im braking.... i press the clutch n gradually use the front disc n rear....

now jus so that my engine doesnt die (sometime) i use the throttle (a lil revv to keep it alive---usually wen the engine isnt warm enuf).... now he complains i rubbed of his brake pads(ZMA) in like 400 kms.....wen my bike is 7000kms n goin.. hw come his brake pad wore off....... ???

Do you always pull the clutch in while braking or only when at really slow speeds? (crossing speedbreakers etc ?) Because if it is done all the time you will wear out your clutch plates soon...

Oh & after how many kms do disk pads normally wear out ?

                    depends on the usage man.......

generally they last good for 15000-20000 kms.....

Just run them for some more time. There seems to be nothing really wrong with your plug - compared to other RTRs' plugs. Check ur manual for plug replacement interval. Generally by that time there would be a slight taper visible on the electrode.

The gap setting on a twin electrode plug is different and not as easy compared to regular plugs... better not try it.

Calipers don't seem to be similar and hence the mount points shouldn't be different. May be because of the difference in disc size (how much is the difference?) the mount points are angled farther.

Can we get snaps of both A150 & RTR's disc calipers...

The SC guys here told they'd fit RTR's disc on Sarvajith's Fiero F2...

Calipers are the same for A150 and RTR.

                        A150 disc - 240mm(guess so)

                          • Hey yesterday while riding my RTR, I noticed the engine was kinna sputtering as in fuel not flowing in smoothly, like it was choked,This happened all of a sudden after my bike switched to reserve (which I felt happened too soon), SO I switched it back to 'ON' after few km and it ran for like 4 kms!

Anyways regarding the choking and loss of power I took it to the SVC and he opened the Carb and the problem was gone! Is it common for a new bike to accumulate dirt so soon (only 400kms) or do you say my fuel is dirty ?

thr's a little reservoir below the fuel cock tht acts as a dirt collector.....
