tight it fully then start ur bike and make the engine RPM run high by tighting the idling screw fully..
then start opening the mixing screw, the moment you'll be reaching the optimum setting the RPM will boost immidietly.......(this is also best method to tune 2 strokes) tight it half rotation for that "zoonk" (simply little more fuel supply) and your bike will be running on a "perfect" setting....
but isnt the bike supposed to be cooled before doin all this fiddling?? i spoke to a mechanic....... thats before i got my bike serviced to check wat was eatin up my performance.... he said the tappet n tuning had been screwed
and was adjusted manually...now as far as i knw...its alwaz me on the bike n no one except the ppl at the ASC touch it....
probably thats why i was made to wait to for an hour to cool my bike on its own... or else.. start splashin some normal>>(not cold) water on the engine block.... little at a time....
@ joel.... sirjee i did get a few of a mods... but if u have to explain it to a layman (like me) can u list out all the experimentations u have done wit the RTR.... i have a RTR refresh......
i plan to tour a lot...but performance inclinded bike is my preference... plz help out..
thanxsigpic

First thing first, idle rpm or AFM setting is done on a warmed up engine . (period)
Uni pads are different from the CBZ & ZMA. They are same as the P220's. But Apache / RTR pads are same as ZMA/CBZ. Awaiting a post from Satish here and pls check recent posts in Karizma thread for this.Originally posted by atulaherwar View Postyeah ..thats thats wat the guy at the ASC tol me..... but one of my fren got a honda uni ka disc pad n fit it on his apa150....... it fits...but braking..i didnt find much difference.... although the soggy feeling of the braking has reduced .....

I guess that the brake pads of Hunk & CBZ-X are same as Uni and the P150 & 180 have those same as P200.

thanx.... that mech better be ready for some good tuning for his head...n a goood spankin for his seating
few mistakes i think i did...but thankfully i didnt listen to him... but still thanx a lot for correctin my doubts
@HYD-- yeah we might have to check out the recent posts in those threads... but if u ask me..... they fit n work....
@all... my brake effect hs gone a bit soggy.... the return action of the brake lever(front) is very low.... its a locking a bit as well.... i tried replacin the disk pads... yet the probs refuse to stop ...
i perhaps hv started to think i have the most ill-fated bike in the entire forum...yet i love it

We did hear about Uni brake pads working on a ZMA, tried but the mount point is different... then went to CBZ pads... now the very same pads fit in RTR... so, looks like there is a way to make the Uni pads work on the RTR/ZMA but the prob is completely different mount point.
Here's proof of my talk:
1) P200's brake pads

2) Unicorn's Brake Pads

3) CBZ/ZMA brake pads that are a direct fit on Apache/ RTR too.

the round holes are the holding points for the pads by the calipers unit. Not questioning you but this is to myself... how would the Uni's pads fit on ZMA/RTR !!!
