    I guess you should get a warranty replacement.

    Please open up your manual and check for what is NOT covered under warranty.

      i did not get a manual still.
      i took the bike from a dealer.so he says "manual aane me thoda time lagta hai"

              when i bought my FI one of the scoops had a missing 'fuel injection' sticker and the co. replaced it free of cost......

              i emptied my tank to the orange light then i put 5 liters of petrol and put tht trip to '0'.....

              and after riding the bike between 3000-5000RPM with gentle throttle openings all the time my trip showed 320 whn the orange light glowed again....i did the calculation it was 62kmpl...

              BTW on all kinda ridings (visits to 10000RPM shifts) accounts for 40-45kmpl and i'm happy 'bout it...

                My friend bought the RTR yesterday, there was a titanium grey Apache Fi which had RTR Fi 160 sticker only on one side of the tail panel other side had normal RTR160 sticker.

                BTW for improving the fuel efficiency keep the tank more than half full

                  This is how i do it .. in the bunk.. try and make your bike stand as horizontal as possible.. ask the guy to fill it up to the bottom on the neck.. (the bottom ring of the neck which is accessible once we open the lock.. dont know what to call that part :| ).. reset trip meter.. after some 500 kms .. which includes all kind of riding.. with and w/o traffic.. normal riding / ripping etc... and refill the bike back to the same point as before and check it..

                  this is what i thought is full tank to full tank measure.. we should not fill the fuel to the brim as the manual says the fuel needs 'breathing' space.. which i assume is the expansion and contraction of the fuel due to heat.

                  i dont think its a nice idea to rely on the orange light coz it doesnt update in real time.. so your measurements might be off

                  • I would say the orange light method is very inaccurate since we all know the rtrs are notorious for the fuel guage being moody.

                    the neck idea is better but its more accurate to use a bottom-up method than a top-down one for accuracy.

                    what i mean is, carry along a small pen-torch with you. park the bike on the main-stand and observe a point on the fuel-pump assy where the fuel level is. then fill up (atleast 5 litres, more gives a better indication of average fuel consumption). then note when the fuel reaches that point. you may need to check a couple of times for it to reach the exact same point but i've found the neck to have greater variation when filling. must be petrol going into the dead-space.

                      What about those who have no fuel pump(fi)
                      Right method will be carry can with a long pipe below it, remove the fuel pipe from carb body and install the can pipe into it, now put 1 lt fuel and run until the fuel ends, check the km, you will get the right figure. This system is accepted by all SC IMO.

                      BTW I am getting only 38 kmpl nowa days, any IDEA, carb is unscrew 3 full from the stop. What is the defult setup for carb air screw.

                                guys in my new refresh(yellow)
                                one of the tank scoop has a fade yellow color.than the whole bike.
                                looks odd.i was noticing it from the first day.i took the bike from a dealer.he said that that looks faded due to the sun.
                                but no it is really faded.
                                i just want to ask will it be replaced?.
