They have not provided anything in manual. Its revised manual. nothing is in it. Its for beginers only.

No, you need to scarb the inner portion for perfect fit, and yes those RTR springs are kind of direct fit but you need a plus to let them in.

even i dont find it in my manual book.........I think it should be there in the Service information manual that Kauria posted quiet sometime back.

guys pls help me out....need to book the bike in a day or two...

Do u feel more vibes with the R15 pegs when compared to RTR's?

I am also in the same boat but with RTR Refresh RD, RTR FI and Unicorn. I discarded FZ for multiple reasons a long back .

I was also reading this thread regularly to find out that RTR FI has some problems with power missing after heating, excessive heating and so on. But again someone confirmed that FI is are getting a new lot where TVS tried to sort these problems out.


1) When i test rode rtr-fi (did test ride at three showrooms), at two showrooms, the bikes felt some missing (as if fuel is abt to finish), when i was accelerating in 2nd or 3rd gear. Is this a design fault with the bike?? can this be cleared??? after riding my rx for last 4 years without any issue, i just cant accept this missing in a new bike

- That I guess is a not a problem but dealers don't put liters of petrol while FI unit in the bike needs at least 2.5-3 liters of petrol in the tank to function perfectly.

2) Also a doubt regarding the battery. Whether the bike can be started in the absence of a battery? The showroom person says it cant be started.

If you ask me, I would say that the way RTR 180 is expected around this month end, wait for that and have a test ride. That is expected t have better power and handling than both of these bikes. Also it's coming with some more goodies - stylish rear mud guard , new colour, tubeless tyres ...

little pressure is okay but very high pressure water on the chain will damage the O-ring seals in the chain. If they burst open the the chain's internal self lubrication system is gone.

Speak to the SC guys. They should change your cone set... in warranty or not would depend on a lot of factors.

May be your bike's idle rpm is set very low. How much is it now? it should be about 1300 RPM.

we heard earlier on this thread that the missing issue can be resolved with a change in a seal in the FI unit and yes very less petrol in the tank might just add up to it.

A day ago Apar said he has given his battery for charging on the way to office... pls check with him if he carried the battery on another bike or he rode the bike, gave the battery and wished to collect it that evening... that'd possibly give u the needed answer.


Any H4 type bulb would fit in.

Silencer is melting my front mudguard.

Check out the following pics. I found this today while washing my RTR.

if connected by line, The mark on Silencer and mudguard are in line with front telescopes. That means on hard braking, The mudguard is touching the silencer . Has anyone found this and got claim settled from TVS?



I got 55/60 upgrade info. Thanx kauria. got srvice manual of Fi also, but there is no full circuit diagram there is charging and ECU circuit onlt.. Do u have full wiring diagram of RTR?

yes in the morn i tried but the corner part is getting into the way will be goin to scrap it a bit thn it'll fit directly....
the feeler bolts from RTR was a direct fit tht saved me 210 bucks as the feeler bolts from R15 costs 210....... man tht inch long bolt cost more than the pegs....

the spring from the RTR is not fitting in it neatly so will be fitting it without the springs...

i asked u ths cuz my fiero had this prob cuz by the time and usage it's springs loat it's tension and the front was diving more than it should have...
at tht time what i did tht i got it "stretched" by 1 inch and the prob got solved...

ENDO's may be the reason for tht too.......

Obviously.All open chains are mostly o-ringed ones.

Ya a bit extra vibes felt in between 3000-4500 RPM range, after that its normal.

Carried it on another bike, but then why would someone drain the whole battery unless u attempt some nonsense like my HID kit. To top it all its a 9Ah battery which will not discharge in a jiffy like the R15's battery or something. And my battery was down by some 4-5 volts and the Fi unit was running if kick-started.

My advice would be to wait and go for the RTR-180 or RTR-Fi. Its worth every penny. As of now, I have no major problems or gripes. The power missing was an issue in earlier lot, not the present. Of course if the fuel is less, the pump makes a distinct sound and starts jerking! Maybe the testride bike was from the old lot.
