you can put the 180's rim but dont go for its 46 teeth sprocket . it will shorten the gearing a lot and add stress to engine instead try a 42 or 41 sprocket with a 17 inch rim

Synthetic Or Mineral

I have RTR Refresh and looking fwd to replace the transmission oil.I have read that synthetic oil reduce engine vibs

??? So whether I should go for synthetic oil or mineral ?? If synthetic then which brand.Also can I switch back to mineral oil after using synthetic ??? Plzz suggest !!!

how many km's has ur bike run? I switched to synthetic around 3700 kms or so.

gearbox stuck

yesterday while coming back to home in the morning at around 6:30 am i was riding at around 120km/hr and then i decided to stop for some time but i found that the gear was stuck at 5th cog

...i stopped the bike and saw that i cant downshift my gear

....i had to ride a few km in 5th cog and then saw a mechanic.he removed the oil and opened up the box and saw that the spring was stuck....he adjusted the spring and poured the same oil back....after that i found that the gear box has become hard and some sound like tarr tarr is coming....
what could be the possible reason for that..?????
and should i take my bike to asc or is it absolutely fine...????
my bike has done 1620kms

Dude, its ok for u to take ur RTR to a local mech. just for an emergency. But remember ur bike has clocked only 1620Kms and is still fresh in terms of all the parts and also covers warranty.Just make ur way to the nearesr SVC and do have a complete check!! And driving a new bike @ 120kms is strictly not advisable!!!

i would take it to the asc today itself as the grease from the chain also came out...
and it was for a minute i took it above 100 and reached 120

one more question...
why did it happened?????

Don't know excatly why it happened, may also be a clog in the gear box due to high speed gear changes as it's a new one and still needs pampering to get used to the normal riding conditions where u can do rapid gear changes and rip off!! And regarding the grease in the chain.... I wonder it's grease

cos its O-Ring chain and doesn't use grease to lubricate!!!

Under what riding conditions are you getting this mileage?

Try changing ignition unit under the seat and ignition coil. I faced the same problem with my Victor, which was solved by changing the digital ignition unit.

Hey guys, am sorry to interrupt you all here...
I have decided to book myself an RTR 160RD for myself after extensive self research and value options. Just have one question for the RTR gurus here. Can I ask the dealer for a blue backlit speedo to be fit onto my carb bike instead of the yellow backlit one??? Has anyone else done it?? Is it possible?

Try asking him. Ask for RTR 180's speedo. But I dont think he will give that. But if u dont care for warranty, u can change the bulb/LED afterwards. I will open mine speedo soon for same work.
