4T oil. 20W40 (Castrol Active, TVS Tru4,ect) if your most of the usage is in city trafic and 10W30 (Castrol Power1, ect) if your most of the usage is on highways.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

              • I went to castrol bike zone today. Those guys said that the chain sprocket isnt damaged but it just needs some proper cleaning and lubrication.I have also told them about the tappet noise. and the brake problem. How is castrol power1 racing synthetic oil for my apache fi? It has a rating of 10w40 and costs 700/750 bucks( forgot the price).the cbz guy said that it lasts for about 5k kms. is it true?? can I use castrol universal brake fluid to clean my chain or lube it?? I have some of it leftover from previous top-up

Your logic could be that there is good enough wind to cool the engine on a highway.

But I wouldn't use a 10W30 oil in an RTR. The engine produces a lot of heat and also has some vibes. I would stick to xW40 or even a xW50 oil.

You are in Delhi. If you are ready to spend Rs 700 on Castrol Power1 Racing 10W40, you rather try the Motul 300V 5W40 at about the same price. The Motul is much better.

Else, even the Petronas Sprinta 5000 4T 10W40 is available in Delhi at a few places. That is complete VFM for below Rs 450. Check Post#143 (or around that number) in Engine Oils thread for dealer details.

In my case, my 90% use is on highways and in early morning or late night. Nowadays, morning temp in my region is 10 degrees and at night, its about 20. hence, i am using the power1. It circulates faster and lubricates much better than tru4.

dont waste power 1 racing on RTR...cuz that oil is superb if your riding stint includes the tacho needle never goin below 8000 RPM....
stick to power 1 and change it every 2000kms and your engine will be new....

lot of R&D is done by the manufactures for the correct rating for their specific bikes...
stick to the grade specified by them, and you'll be doin super good for the engine.

I live in neb sarai(near saket). I gave my bike to castrol bike zone and most of the probs have been solved except the brake. they said there might be some prob with the brake pump. I will take my bike to CPL tomm and see if it can be replaced under warranty
