Insist on changing the balls only of the top and bottom bearings of cone set. Yesterday, SVC guy did this under TVS engineer's supervision and it has eliminated the khatkhat noise which came while applying brakes and going through potholes.
There should be no need to change the whole cone set (I was quoted Rs. 280 for Cone set and Rs. 150 for the labor, by SK TVS, Mayapuri

).
This has minimized handle wobbling to an extent.
Hope this helps...

i've yet to find this "khat khat" on my FI....Originally posted by nox2505 View PostI got Cone set and balls changed under warranty, still the khat khat noise is there while passing on pot holes.
there was this khad sound once when i applied the front, but it came once...
my bike has done 6500kms till now and my handle is still perfectly tightened....The Magician"

He told me that he can fit a ZMA arm into my bike which will cost me 3000Rs approx just for the arm , tyres alloys extra , should i go for it?
please post your reply : Here are my questions:
1. where in delhi can i get extended swing arm applied in apache 150 ? ,I mean any experienced mechanic if you know , post the shop name and location ( i know a lot of modifying shops exist in karol bagh and mayapuri , but i dont have their numbers and addresses)
2. How much will it cost me change the position of brake paddle and grears like in RTR ? ( like they have changed the whole riding position of RTR with this change in position )

Buddy today it is not setteling even after many resets. I don't know what happened. I think every thing was fine before I told that fool to set my tappets before leaving the service centre. When I was leaving I self started the bike and ideling was normal but when I started moving I noticed the dead techo. It was fluctuating like anything, today when I was riding fast the techo neddile was dancing like hell. The service centre fool was saying that electronic items doesn't come under warranty.|| My Doc says bhp is directly proportional to testosterone. I want more I want more .............. ||

claim warranty??
My 5K run RTR RD also has started giving me tacho problems...some 2 mths ago , it was showing less rpms in each gear... later I just turned off the key and started again , and the tacho was back to normal... Last sunday , ripped the bike and my tacho needle doesnt go beyond 8-8.5K rpm ( as told by svc manager , rtr-refresh has rev limiter
so wont go beyond this 8K rpm, someone , please shed some light on this... is the rev-limiter thing true)
So on last saunday , when i ripped the bike , the tacho went kaput . Now the needle positions itself over the low batt- indicato , always ( instead of "0"). Also when I switch the bike on , i.e. when the bike "self-tests" the tacho n speedo , the needle doesnt go beyond 10 K rpm .
Just hope that i get free-replacement as its just 6 mths old ..sigpic

Congrats......both of you are eligible for a new speedo under warrenty!
Ask them if they are sure that speedo does'nt come under warrenty, and also tell them u'll contact the local TVS office and cross check with them, then they'll surely replace it.
Else shoot mails, complain then see the magic work

There is nothing like rev limiter mine is also same version, and revs happily till 11750 RPMs. regarding tacho, the needle has slept abit. just open the assemby, remove the needle, put in little fevikwick and fix it on '0'.Originally posted by bikerboysyd View PostMy 5K run RTR RD also has started giving me tacho problems...some 2 mths ago , it was showing less rpms in each gear... later I just turned off the key and started again , and the tacho was back to normal...
