Sorry guys to interrupt the flow, Went to motul distributor(he is also NGK distributor) to get one can 5W40, Saw NGK hand gloves wit him which are coming along with NGK Iridium spark plug, When asked about it he said for 4 NGK Iridium spark plug one hand gloves is free. I asked whether I can get the gloves alone and he said it will be 150 Rs for one set . Available in lots of colours. May not be best of the brand but it should worth for 150Rs. Attaching the pics below

Its the noice you hear in the morning the most when you start your bike after parking it overnight when the tappets are not "lubed".Originally posted by haxor View PostWhat is tappet noise?Never understood what that sound is!
Its kinda metallic noice that gels with the sound of the engine very well (try to hear it according to the exhaust beat and you'll recognize the noice)so you got to lend big ear to it, the noice gradually subsides when the engines reaches its operational temp but in case of RTR the noice is always there, specially while taking off in 1st gear (sharply), accelarating off a speed breaker, and it remains audible till 3rd gear mosty till 3500-4000RPM, anything above is the exhaust note which never lets you hear that.
Anything covering your hands is usefull.(plain leather gloves have advantage over cloth)Originally posted by haxor View PostI dont think any gloves without armour(knuckle protectors) is of any use...

Is that a tappet noise??
Actually when i start my bike it sounds totally smooth...
once the engine is heated,in Long Runs, there comes a different kind of "kharr kharr" sound from the engine. it is happening from the day i bought the bike. You wont b able to hear it if you r wearing a helmet. Its not a big deal though.

My mechanic calls it the tappet noise, and says the tappet is losened by the manufacturers for the sake of gud pickup....HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3
