should i not ask to replace that part as the bike is just 6 months old? and one more thing. my left hand fingers gets weird dirt after riding for about half an hour. this is due to the usage of clutch. i am facing this issue from day 1 of getting the bike. also the clutch lever is clean every time i take the bike. attached a picture for reference.

There must be grease(with dirt) on the clutch lever.(when the clutch lever os joined with the clamp(dont knw the exact name) which is covered by a rubber kinda thing)

i don't think so because my bike is being cleaned daily by our security and i overlook his cleaning in the weekends. also i do clean my clutch lever and the break lever every time i take the bike. And in the service centre they said i am the 5th person to report this problem. unfortunately they don't have any clue about this or a solution.

It is actually the aluminum from the clutch lever.I have a kb and as long as the anodized coating was there it was ok,but when it was gone ,due to usage...everytime I ride i get similar coating on my fingers...my KB100 is now 23 yrs old,and I have depression on the clutch lever where my fingers press on it...so I know for sure.

I see. So what is the solution? Should i indicate the service centre that the anodized coating has gone and they should replace it? Now i get a doubt if they had actually done that coating prior because i am suffering this problem from day1. thought it would be the dirt or grease from the lever as it is a new bike and didn't bother to peep into the problem. now the problem is going worse and that to if i go to some food court i m intended to hide my left hand as this thing doesn't go easily by washing.

The more you operate it more the coating on your fingers..I still haven't found a cure for it...Not only this,I use my front brake more to stop and so fingers on both my hand look coated with this Black deposit. If I find a suitable DIY coating for this I will PM you.
                        Alternatively wear riding gloves.

                        • latest solution i found was to wear gloves were ever i go. thats a pretty much DIY as i did it myself (buying one and wearing it). enough of stupid jokes. how about cello taping the whole lever?

Also i want to if others are facing the same problem.

                          • Yes, since the last one year or so, I have been facing the same problem on my Fiero F2 too, but with the brake lever.
I use only one finger, so that is the one that gets dirty.
I wash it in case its too much, else just ignore it.

The cello tape will peel of with the operating pressure and you will be left with a tacky coating on the lever .
