  • Hi All,

There is a sort of bulging in my rear tires. Recently i went through a pothole and feel that is the reason for the same.
If a cut appears on the tires then its going to be a nightmare. Then I found in our user manual that tires will come under warranty period (as its just four months back I bought my RTR HE). When I went to one of the dealers they said that they dont do the replacement work & all they can do is give a letter, which I will have to take it to TVS Sri Chakra Ltd in Banshankari(Bangalore). The crap part is it will be open only on Mondays (for which I will have to take half a day leave from office) & that too the person in charge might be out of station.
Have any one of you had any sort of such replacements?
Is it possible to change to TVS tubeless tires instead of stock ones?
Also is there any tubeless tires for 100/80-18(stock) or 100/90-18 or 110/80-18 specifications?

I would suggest 100/80 as far as i know 100/90 - 18 is upsize. it will reduce handling. creates woobles >60KM/h.

Dude I will suggest you to get rid of the stock tires as soon as possible they suck I got mu tires changed after four months I hate those
I would suggest go for mischi M45 for rear and mrf zapper for front both tubless awesome combination nice handelling and awesome grip and best for cornering

Today I've searched every where in Dhaka for 100/80-18 size tyre but couldn't find. Later I've bought MRF 90/90-17 = 2850 taka, 100/90-18 = 3600 taka. Tomorrow I'll put them on the bike, hope 100/90 won't creates wobbles.

After last visit of SC, throttle response is working well on every temp on my bike. Lubing the chain as soon as it becomes dry with whatever you manage...

3700tk for Insurance? is it First Party Insurance? From which company? I wanted to get First Party Insurance for my R15 but didn't find any interest from any insurance companies and later ended to Third Party.

I paid 1,72,500tk for bike, 17,000tk for Registration, 230tk for Insurance.

hmm, 100/90 is what MRF? Zapper C / Q ? And It seems it is damn pricey god. BT the way rode in the rain in city. Haven't tried more than 32KM/h in rain. Handling was ok. Some people at SVC and haxor suggested not to change tyre too soon as bike is new for me. MRF's are good. Congrats on your change. By the way, What is ODO reading now?

Brother, Can you please tell me what he has done?
Otherwise engine is hot bikenever response to twist.

                      How was the tour?

The tour took my life. I was somewhat in bed for 12 hours to get my hand pain to be reduced. Also that's because tour contained 20KM of ultra zunky road. Damn this government of ours.
For smooth highway, RTR is just good. I was having very very very hard times having the bike under 45km/h during the highway riding.

3700tk for Insurance? is it First Party Insurance? From which company? I wanted to get First Party Insurance for my R15 but didn't find any interest from any insurance companies and later ended to Third Party.

Don't really know brother what you are talking about. I will ask my father that what kind of insurance that was. I will let you know then.

                      • For Front - MRF Zapper FS 90/90-17 and for rear MRF Zapper Y 100/90-18. After install those tyres, I couldn't believe that I'm riding RTR. It seems to totally new bike. jerking dramatically drop, and its feel like butter as R15 (maybe all in my mind). Did a hard cornering easily with pillion. Overall I'm happy with these tyres. I took my hands off on 60kmph speed with pillion, no wobbling or bubbling has seen

ODO reading is 1055km. Today I've put Castrol Active 20W40; engine sounds become harsh and less smooth than before. I'll go back to my previous oil Caltex Havolin 20W50 at morning as soon as possible.

About the throttle response issue; He (mach) opened the carb and reset some pins or balls and put it back, nothing else.

I was going to sell my RTR almost for 1,80,000tk but later with MRF tyre's performance; decided to keep the bike

I already sold my both stock TVS tyres for 4000tk although payment will receive after one month

I just changed 1 st gear at 4K RPM which was at 16KMph then 2nd gear at 8K RPM. 3rd gear at 7.5K RPM, 4 th gear at 7.5K rpm. I didn't felt what you call vibration. :S Hyperedge reduces vibration is that true? :S I did 104KMph @5th gear, ran out of road.
