  • i used a motul 300v 15w50 a few weeks ago on my RTR FI and it is really bad. Pickup is awefully pathetic. But i have to live with it for sometime.

Next will move to motul 7100 10w40 FS oil.

Does the combo really stands true?

I've heard quite a lot people using this grade (maybe coz they're unable to find xW40) in their RTR's and they provide quite good feedback and never mentioned anything wrong with pick-up or anything. Just want to confirm if any other person also felt so or is it Tron's individual case

Have rode few RTR's with this oil. Oil is good, but pick up takes a beating since the oil is thicker! It takes away the fun from RTR!

          • xW30 [P1 currently] will have more powerful pickup because of thinner oil.

            • Either way, its best to stick to xW40 which is "prescribed" for the RTR by TVS.

But i still wonder why TVS has been recommending their 10W30 SS oil for RTR
