  • the oil stains you see are from the chain, the service guys would have oiled it and when you rode back and put it on the stand it dripped....there's nothing to worry about.....

the scratches on your disc are way too much...
spray high pressure water on the pads of the disc once a week to remove all the debris which might get collected.......

    • Has anyone tried for headlight upgrade? Say, to Osram Night breaker.

      • What are the engine oil specs for the RTR eFi? Is it 10W50 or 20W50? Also what engine oil suits the RTR/Efi best? Are Motul products preferred or are there any other brands that are more suitable for the RTR series?

I have it on my Fiero. Awesome bulb, way way better than the philips ones. Put it on ur bike you wont regret, by the way the Night Breaker is also available in single pack now. I bought one for 600 bucks.

Bprags, could you explain in detail what were the modifications you did to have the night breakers installed? winding, relays etc....and individual costs and model numbers etc? I am interested in putting it for my Apache ...so please share your knowledge

            Thanks,

My bike already had the coil rewinding done a few years back. I dont think you need coil rewinding to be done, I had paid somewhere around 1.2K for the rewinding and rectifier [I am not sure abt the name ]. The bulb is a straight fit in the existing socket.

              • Osram NightBreaker has no 35W option. Searched there website but could not find any. So which 35W HID will be best suited to RTR considering safety and a bit light on pocket too ?

                • First service update

The bike had done 650 kms till last Saturday so rode the Pulsar last week for a change :-)

Got the bike service yesterday, two things have improved after this service

                  1) The chain noise(it used to strike aginst cover I think)
                  2) The rear brake position is now better & bike brakes perfectly now.

I would like to get Direct DC lighting on the RTR, has anyone done this?

                  • @Technocrat: The akternator will not produce enought power for the DC set up as the load factor is higher than the input. You can plonk the osram night breaker in the refelector without mods, but you will get 95% of the complete illumination. Note that the RTR Rectifier supports 60/55W without much head aches.

Pm me if you need more info

                      • The intake resonator which the RTR FI sports, is very small can the size of it be increased to get rid of the missing the engine shows between 2000-3000 RPM.........

                              Hi Krishna,

Could you tell us what model would be suitable for the replacement of the stock headlamps? as in H4 etc....the manual says HS. I am bit confused....

I am talking about the Apache 150 and I want to Change the Headlamp from 35/35W to something more powerful.... your suggestions?

                              Thanks,
