15W50 is perfectly fine for the 220. 300V is the best oil for the 220, but its freakin expensive.

BTW, there is a 20W50 option available too - Oils and lubricants Products - Motul

But I have used it once and I did not like it.

    53,000 Kms or 5,30,000 kms ?

When you rev your bike hard at idle is there smoke coming from the exhaust?

Looks like your bike is drinking a lot of oil. You may need to replace piston rings, or maybe even complete bore piston kit if the bore is damaged.

Doesn't the overheat icon flash on the console?

But 1.08L Kms from a Victor in 7 years , that's exactly how I have done in 7 years Were you doing Ooty-Coimby-Sathy-Mysore-Ooty everyday ?
It's good not to understand everything Praful, sometimes we need to just listen, not over think.

But yes I used to work in Coimbatore and every week apart from commuting to work in Coimbatore I used to ride back to Ooty on Friday early morning and leave Monday early morning all these yesteryear. So yes, you can say Ooty, Coimby, city commute, 100s of KMs every day and nitty-gritty, where I rear ended a truck exactly at 98750 KMS which is still "etched" in my mind, early morning, and the speedo console stuck at that speed splitting into smithereens. Installed a new speedo and has clockd another 14k.

And apart from this, you can add some 22,000 odd KMS on my Pulsar 220. So, yes you do the math -- whoops, well don't fret, you won't understand.

    Cheers!

Would you believe the front tire of my Victor GLX 125 lasted 1.08 Lakh KMS and no cupping no nothing except wear and still had some thread left. No one believes it to this day, and not a single puncture on all these 7 years of total usage, where it was finally jinxed and got a stress induced puncture due to a weak tube just three days before shodding the MPS on the front for the first time in 7 years. But would I go for it again, definitely not.

One of my mechanic friend suggests CEAT as the best tire for the bikes who were "once" chucked despicably but many positive reviews affirms CEAT is on a strong foothold especially when it comes to rubbers these days.

    Cheers!

It is surprisingly good. And this is not just my opinion.

Most of the KTMs in Chandigarh PBK were shod with the Vertigo and a lot of Pulsars as well. The guys in the hills love this tyre. That itself is testament to the quality of the tyre. I have been using it for around 20k km as well and now due for a replacement. Very good from a touring point of view.

Though ofcourse big block patterns do transfer a lot of road buzz when on smooth tarmac, but on a Bajaj, you just won't notice

    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

There is another tyre from Ralco which Berioust was using on his 390. You can ask him about the quality of that as well.

And these CEat tyres were used by the particpants of the Sajoba rally recently held!
