    Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience

    Hey guys..

Need recommendation on Engine oil for ZMR.. i have been using the Stock(10w30) engine oil but it was giving me just too much lifter tick on long rides(tick starts around 10-15kms into the ride and keeps on ticking untill the ride ends)..then i switched to motul 20w40 3000 HC Tech.. but lifter tick has increased even more. Shall i move to 50 weight oils? Lifter tick really spoils the long ride fun and oil cooler just seems to there for the heck of it..does absolutely nothing..

Oh Man! I was Young! I was Stupid!

Though jokes apart that's still how I kill the motor on motorcycles that come without a kill switch, more convenient than turning the key.

Jokes apart, the ZMA is an awesome machine as far as off-road use is concerned, the stock alloys are strong and can take a good beating, you may consider scrapping the fibers or using rubber gourmets in between as they can troublesome when ridden hard, not to mention expensive to replace. Sanket had custom fabricated mesh panels for his ZMA a few years ago, if you're lucky you might find pictures somewhere in this thread.

Since the ZMA runs off a DC CDI I would suggest you run a capacitor parallel to the battery just to be on the safer side as you intent to use the motorcycle for adventure riding.

    DIY: Motorcycle Battery Eliminator

    Cheers.

Welcome to Karizma club. I am pleasantly surprised that instead of getting a new bike of this age you bought yourself a 2007 Karizma!
I am sure you did it because you are aware of the Pros and Cons of this machine.

PM me your email id and I will send you the parts catalog in a few days.
About service manual, I am also looking for myself.
Hi thank you very much. The Karizma was a chance purchase coz I wanted something cheap for trying some offroading. And I couldn't think of anything else that can be decent on the highway as well till we get to an offroading destination.
And I got the bike for a sweet deal.
Will pm you my e mail id

Check Ceat and Ralco. Dual purpose tires are commonly referred to as "Button" tires.

Made a mistake[emoji23] bought 90/90-18 mrf zapper kurve f for front and it rubbing on inner sides of mudguard now. Was using a tyre of some cheap brand came with the used bike I bought. Must say the handling and braking has really improved but it touches the mudguard[emoji20]
