Hello every body,i own a 2009 std bullet 350 in cochin.I would like to install a k and n air filter and also upjet the carburettor.After a lot of research here in previous threads and numerous visits to different k and n dealers,ive zeroed in on E0900 .The dealers say that E0900 is a direct fit into the right side tool box where the filter is located. i would like to know:

what size jets should i replace in my carburettor (mikcarb VM 24 stock carb)when i upjet it and should i just change the main jet or should i change both main as well as pilot jets?

Also right now my bike runs on a short bottle silencer. i had changed both the exhaust bend pipe as well as the silencer.The bend pipe is the long one like the ones which used to come with the old bullets(its free flow) and the silencer is a single shell short bottle silencer.
So, should i replace the muffler with a free flow short bottle silencer for better performance or the current set up would work well with the performance upgrades?

3)I would like to install a megaphone silencer from sans inc.would that be a direct fit to the current bend pipe?Is it good for highway riding and a bit of touring?

4)after these performance mods what should i expect from it? there would obviously be an increase in accelleration but will there be any difference in top speed?

Its all about my machismo 500 LB

Hi guyz,

I'm one of those bullet maniacs from chennai, I have a Machismo 500 LB version I'm getting some weird noises from the engine, the service personnel claim that its the tappet thats making the noise. I dont get such noise when i fire my engine after a long gap, later on when the engine gets heated up, the noise get aggravated gradually. I NEED HELP!!!! does anyone know the reason?!?!?!

Does anyone here know the best mechanic in chennai where i can leave my to safe hands?

If you re in south chennai try hussain's garage its on the velachery taramani link road ; also once i heard there is some mech in thiruvottiyur(birth place of these mighty machines) who is an ex-RE and is the most experienced mech in chennai but i dont know name or exact adress of that guy if you ve links in thiruvottiyur try to find him (do inform me tooincase if you get him) as i ve heard hussain is very good ;

Being in Chennai and a proud owner of RE, you should be knowing Jaffer from Pudupet. His shop is the last shop in that pudupet road ( From Triplicane to Egmore road where all the automobile shops are present). Just take your bull to him, he will make it in a mighty condition. If you stay far from Pudupet, just ask him about the things to do to take care of your machine, he would guide you and teach you patiently

I'm a proud owner of a Bullet 350 1976 make bought from an army auction!

Got the bike done with a famous mech in old city in Hyderabad and the experience is amazing. Toured Srisailam on it last month and planning a trip to the south and Pune this season. Got it colored the shiny dark green and its a head turner. feels good to be a part of the RE family mahn! Amazing!!

No, not inappropriate, but certainly painful to read.
This can serve as an example of how NOT to write - sms language, abbreviations and the one-word per line don't make it easy on the eyes or the brain.

Can you please tell me the name and address of the bullet specialist mechanics in hyderabad ? And does he work on UCE bullets also or strictly cast iron ones ?
