    hi
initially it was hard to find neutral, but now i can easily come to neutral- all you need is slight push to gear lever.
Yes, its good that bike does not come to neutral easily when you are overtaking other vehicle.
Be assured that engineers think many times before designing anything before presenting to you.

I use different technique to find neutral, say my bike is 1st gear, all I do is give a small self start of say 1/2 second and then kill the engine. Now use your gear, you will easily find neutral.

        hi
this is not required at all. You can easily bring to neutral either from 2nd to neutral or 1st to neutral just by slight press of lever. Once you practice it, its easy.

On bike OFF position it's easy to reach the neutral position that's why said they, engineers, probably had the idea of quick shift between gears in traffic so going straight to 2nd from 1st instead of neutral

hi rainy season is around the corner , so want to ask importtant question what you guys do or will do to protect all chrome parts ,i found some surface rust on rims , which i removed 99% .i wash my bike twice a month and use wax on all chrome parts, still rust was there very slightly.

today i went to service center , he said anti rust coating material will come next week , which will cost 200 rs to apple all chrome parts.Wanted to know is anity rust any good ? the brown coat which we mostly applied on cycles when we were kids( i guess they apply that).second is it ok to apply anti rust on whole silencer ? dont want permanent mark on silencer or any parts . what you guys gonna do to prevent rust , old avengers owners and new ones .thanks

                hi,
There are two types in that Antirust coating. One is thick brown and other is light yellow colour.
I never seen any Avi with any coating so far. Use wax coating for chrome parts which will prevent rusting for few days. But then you have to take care of bike by washing regularly until mansoon is over.

I have painted all the Nuts and Bolts with black oil paint. Visible bolts with silver paint to avoid rusting. Wax chrome and body paint with 3M car wax. Wash bike regularly with Bosch 33-11 pressure washer.

All coating system offered by service centre are for seasonal protection. The coating system applied is on top of already painted, chromed parts. There are no metal parts without coating/primer painted in motorbikes.
Permanent coating will evolve scrapping/blasting already painted parts and repainted with acceptable painting system. This is tedious job and cannot be accomplished on assembled bike.
Best protection for antitrust is upkeep bike neat and clean on every ride. As already said and detailed by one of the reader.
Most riders I find seldom clean or upkeep the bike.
                  Avoid noise pollution. Avoid honking.

Purchased Bosch 33-11 pressure washer for my bike. In mansoon, bikes gets dirty easily and rust the metal if not washed regularly. There were 12V system washers from Rasqtech but that pressure is not sufficient for thorough washing of mud.
This Bosch 33-11 model is self priming so tap water not required. Pressure is adequate for compete washing solution. Chain can be cleaned easily.

For the rear, i couldn't coz here at the local store the tyre were out of stock but they will be getting it soon. The rear tubeless tyre only option here is the TVS Rambo 140/90-R15 which i think will be pretty good for highways and on gravels. After replacing the front tyres, I've noticed that the high speed straight line stability has greatly improved and i hope after replacing rear tyre to TVS Rambo the stability will be even better.

Hi buddy...I wish to know if 100/80-R17 is a direct fit? Or any mods required? BTW which model you have?

Yes 100/80 R17 is a direct fit no issues whatsoever. Mine is Street 220 and done 6k in my odometer. Just a note : if u want better grip go for soft compound rubber tyre but it will last upto 15k kms. The stock tyres are at the harder compound side, which can last very long upto 30k-40k kms but the grip is not that great for Indian roads.

Thanks buddy. I will keep that in mind. But I am not sure if that will be a direct fit in my avy. It's 2015 model, and the tyre dealer here said its not a direct fit in my model.
