Bajaj Avenger - All versions

    Clocked 4000 kms and planning to change engine oil.Have changed oil at this interval 537 kms at first service , 2172 kms at second , now it clocked 4023 kms.have done third service yesterday.but did not change oil.

    which should I go for ? Can I go for motul 5100 15w50 semi synthetic or I should I clock more kms ?
    some one suggested moto 4 elf gold 20w50 but read some bad review about it saying it's too thick.

    please suggest me oil.

    reason for changing oil , not satisfied with Bajaj oil. My gear shift have become clunky and hard some times.and I feel vibration at certain speed.

      The motul 5100 is great. My friend is using that oil and the bike is smoother than ever.

        Go for Motul.. But I think your bike servicing intervals are too close. Use the oil for 3. 5 to 4k then go for next servicing.

          ya ,my usage is very less . had bought bike on 27th October , done first service at 25 th November , then next at march then now .i changed oil at second service which was early (my mistake)

          thanks , should i got for motul 5100 ss now or should i clock more kms ?

            ya ,my usage is very less . had bought bike on 27th October , done first service at 25 th November , then next at march then now .i changed oil at second service which was early (my mistake)

            Yeah it's ok. My friend changed his oil somewhere around 5k kms and now the bike is at 6.5k kms. Still runs great, will go for another 4k kms I think.

              According to the manual the 1st service should be done after 30 days of purchase and the 2nd after 240 days.

              Why the big gap between services?

              Wouldn't the bike benefit from frequent servicing every couple of months?

              My bike is about 5o days old now, rode about a thousand KMS, still it struggles to reach speeds of 65 kmph, should I be concerned ?

              I want to ride @ high speeds and show my swag.

                  Same here my Avenger is due for 2nd service on 8th sep, squeezy noise comes from front brake from laat 2 weeks, asked Bajaj Service Center, told me to wait till 8th, not good, even Oil level is low. Concerns me a lot cannot drive above 35, gets heated quickly & that noise becomes louder. Should have serviced 30 days before 2nd sevice.

                    hi,
                    There is setting on rear suspension to make it hard/soft. Check with any mechanic for that.
                    You should modify seat by adding 2 inch extra foam over seat and you will get comfortable drive.

                    Note: All suspensions are designed for maximum safety at high speeds,so at low speeds and potholes, you feel them hard. But its not fault of suspension but failure of local road authority bodies.

                      Comfort Level of Bajaj Avenger 220 for 6 feet and above Riders

                      Hi Every Motoroids. Im Newbie here.I think Im late But Atleast not too late after owning 2 Beautiful Machines and have riden 1L+ Kms.
                      I own HUNK and after riding it over 80K Kms Now I just got Avenger (one of my personal favorite) .
                      Help Me Out .
                      Im 6'1 and Im Uncomfortable after every 1+ hr Ride in my Avy.
                      Although I do that I always have to change my posture frequently.
                      As many People Complain about the tailbone pain I didnt experienced that (But when i sit a bit back i can feel little bit) But I feel pain in my Right thigh
                      So I always try to Maintain 'V' Shape Posture inorder to stay comfort.
                      FYI I work 8+ hrs daily (Infront of PC) and I drive 65 KMS ( Up&Down ).
                      As I was riding HUNK around 7 years It was simply great and commanding seat posture.Its 3K Kms done in Avy & 3 months old
                      So I think I want to alter the seat to Increase Height. Adding Extra Cushioning can solve my issue ? Thanks in Advance.

                        congrats for new avenger.
                        Seating position of Avenger is leaned backward which loads weight on tail bone. Though cushioning seat helps to some extent, prolonged seating also creates fatigue in that position.
                        Hunk or other bikes offer seating position leaned forward which puts body weight on hands and legs so you do not face tail bone pain. But due to low profile design of avenger, it has adopted this position to help biker to stretch his legs forward. Your height also causes some inconvenience but should be sorted out by proper seat modification.

                          Thank you for the suggestion. So I should modify the seat. That means a complete cushion should be altered. Im from Tamilnadu. Im going to Bangalore next week. Ill check any Good Capable Persons there to get this job done.

                              Please dont ride on high speeds for initial 1000 Kms... Ride between 50 to 60 (Max) and 90(Max) after first service.
