How ironical that Lorenzo went back in time 50 years in the Yamaha video and his contemporary bike gave a taste of those bikes on track yesterday
without traction control engaged...
Edit: Gamble by Ducatis going with Softer rear. Hope the tyres last the race and won't be lapped by front runners

I am more happy that Lorenzo didn't win but a seriously superb ride by Stoner. And Hayden looked so disappointed when Rossi hugged him in the pits..he wanted to be the best finishing ducati in US GP...awe

What A race!!!! Superb overtake by Casey! The demons of Laguna finally laid to rest. Somebody should tell Ben to start the race itself with used tyres. The guy is a monster in the latter part of the race.What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!Comment

Laguna Seca MotoGP
Stoner wins a hard fought race from lorenzo, who comes second. followed by pedrosa, spies and dovizioso.
rossi came 6th followed by hayden.
have a look at rossi's timings, 30 secs more than stoner. his bike is way slower than top riders.
and hardly one second gap between rossi and hayden, rossi was riding gp11.1 whereas hayden was riding gp11. so not much difference. so whatever improvements rossi have made in bike is only sufficient to make him competiteve to his teammate hayden, nothing more than that. and it is only a bit of tunning that rossihas made to adapt the bike to his style of racing. sad thing indeed.
rossi's racecraft was also seen in the initial stages of race, where he blocked quite a few overtaking manuveures.
lets hope 2012 ducati gives something to rossi to compete for title once agian, but still that seems a far cry.
for the time being, slowly rossi and ducati is improving, but the pace of improvement is disappointingly very slow.Comment

Aww. Hope the race was good. Was just refreshing motogp.com to see the updates at office. Bad that Veemi.com didnt stream the race as it did yesterday for the qualifying. Repeat telecast at 8:30 a.m. on ten sports, and 2 p.m. on Star Sports. Waiting...Comment

Good ride by Stoner, this is very different from his usual 'lead from front' races, watched behind Pedrosa and Jlo to know whats happening and then made the move. And the tires behaved better in the last third of the race.
Poor Bautista crashed after inching closer to the ducatis. his laptimes were 1'22.6 while the Duc where at 1'22.8, Would ve been a close race only if he had stayed on the bike...

Once Stoner overtook Lorenzo and Pedrosa, they totally gave up and started finishing in highs of 1'22.Comment

This year's camera angle did show as to how freaking is cork-screw.
Rossi hugged Hayden? I don't watch post race celebration & commentary if J Lo or Lacey win. Pedro is so muted in his celebration, its much more refreshing.
Ben's pace at the closing laps isn't getting him any further than 4th/5th position and occasional podiums.Comment

What a cracker of a race. If you are a Honda or Casey Stoner fan, this would be the race of the season till now. Totally worth staying awake for.
Strategically too, this was a very fine race; let Dani attack JLo till they wear out their tyres and then take both of them. The race was superbly paced and timed by Stoner.
Would have loved to see Sic in the Dovi Vs Spies tussle though.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.Comment

Slept off just 30 mins before the race and woke up at 6 in morning, all angry.
I have no clue how and where to watch the highlights online..
3 weeks of no racing..... Guess the race was exciting
