MotoGP gossip and rumors from Sachsenring
    The Main part:

According to the rumors coming from Italy, Rossi may want out of his Ducati contract ahead of time. Apparently his two year contract has an option for the second year, which on hindsight (and remembering Marco Melandri) may have been the right thing to do. An option for the second year would allow him to wiggle out of things if they didn’t turn out well (and they definitely are not) but dropping Preziosi & Co after one season would mean leaving with a big egg on his face, his tail between his leathers and his reputation as an excellent development and feedback rider shot to high hell and leaving the big question of where someone like Mr. MotoGP and his team could go after burning bridges with both Yamaha and Honda.

Carlo Pernat is a veteran journalist in motocicilismo (or is it GPone.com as I see his articles there too) along with Dennis Noyes.
Carlo quoted for Rossi's rumors and Dennis tweeted it. Simple
        This is how rumors spread

        • BS bringing 3 variants will help the Duc, as their problem always was getting tires to their working temp.

It will be interesting to see what Choices Stoner will have as his issue is bringing the tires to optimum temp too early. I remember Pedrosa commenting/advicing Stoner after the first test last year, 'dont trust the honda too early, it has the habit of detroying the tires later' I dont have exact words..

              • Rossi staying with Ducati for 2012

DESPITE difficulties with his transfer to Ducati, Valentino Rossi has committed to the Italian manufacturer for 2012.
Speaking after an off-par qualifying and race finish at Sachsenring, when asked by Gazzetta della Sport whether he will continue with Ducati in 2012 Rossi said:
The reasoning behind the question was in regards to the two-year contract between the nine-time champion and the Bologna manufacturer, the second year being an option for Rossi to continue giving him room for movement if the partnership did not go to plan.
The issue should he leave would be, where would Rossi and his entourage go? He won't return to Yamaha to ride alongside Jorge Lorenzo again and he burnt the bridge with Honda at the end of 2003 - however, HRC did extend the olive branch saying they would take Rossi back.
At Sachsenring the 31-year-old Italian found himself embroiled in a battle with teammate Nicky Hayden and Alvaro Bautista after working his way into the top ten from a poor qualifying position. Ultimately Rossi would finish the second best of the Ducatista in ninth, and both would lose out to the sterling work of Bautista in an inspiring ride on the lone Suzuki GSV-R.
Finding improvements with the bike from languishing down at the back of the grid, Rossi discussed the race:
"It was mainly hurting me in the last corner, when I changed to third, because the bike wheelied and it took me half the straightaway before I could put it back down.

he finished, revealing that the improvements were a in part from adjusting the weight balancing of the Desmosedici GP11.1.
Moving to Ducati, Rossi found the Desmosedici unlike anything he was accustomed to,
                continued Valentino,
Rossi will now decide whether to continue with the GP11.1, which can be developed further, or step back to the Desmosedici GP11.

                    • Rossi leaving Ducati will be a big disappointment to many fans. I sincerely hope they redesign the entire bike again.

Ducati seems set to make the switch from its trademark trellis frames to, wait for it, a cast aluminium stresses-airbox frame, not just for its new range of 1199 superbikes to debut at this year's Milan motorcycle show but also on its 1000cc Desmosedici MotoGP racer for 2012.
                      Hope for the best.

By the by, how would it be if Valentino Rossi build his own team? A step closer to bring out the ultimate bike?
RIP Marco Simoncelli! You will not be forgotten!

                      • It's so nice to see him getting comfortable with the bike. I haven't seen him comfortable at all right from the beginning. He is so "tucked" in and doesn't look like the old Rossi at all. Whatever be the problem, hope its taken care of and we can all see him at the top step. I want it badly this season, Rossi without a win for one whole season??? Its just not good . I'm sure he wouldnt' let this happen

                              • Today is thursday..., was thinking its friday and logged in to check FP results...,

Lorenzo's performance in last few races has made me curious...as to how he would fight with dani and Casey on raceday..., he is showing all the passion and determination of a champion..., the hunger seems somewhat lacking in casey(at the moment)...

if only he(Jlo) would give up his off-track antics....I don't like him whenever his helmet is off...

talk about dreaming - If rossi hadn't moved then: Rossi and lorenzo on underpace(but agile) Yamahas chasing down Dani and casey on fast Hondas...the battles would be legendary...(think laguna seca'08)...
