    • Nice article....One of the reasons I love motorsports so much...the innovations...the battle of minds....pushing the limits of the existing technology....coming up with something new and unconventional.....Kudos to Honda engineers for making the competition machines look primitive...am sure we would see this kind of gearboxes in production motorcycles in future.

^^its 107%.....almost never comes into play(at least in Motogp)......as for the shortest of tracks..consider the lap time of 1:20 i.e. 80 secs.....107% comes out to be 85.6secs....means one has to be slow by some 5.6 secs....this never happens (I don't remember this happening in Motogp....would be glad to know some instances )

Qatar MotoGP in doubt? - Motorcycle racing news: Moto GP - Visordown

A rise of political instability in Qatar may put the opening round of the MotoGP championship at risk.
The detainment of a Qatari blogger may inspire similar protests and riots that have seen dictators overthrown in Egypt, Yemen and the current civil unrest taking place in Libya.
Should the people of Qatar seek the vitriol against Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa al Thani and his regime, the MotoGP round at Losail may postponed until the political unrest has resolved.
The act of holding the Qatar round may see the opening MotoGP race brought forward or the paddock having to wait until April 3rd when the championships arrives at Jerez.

He just cant keep quiet, can he? Nice nice, I'm sure both Jorge and Stoner will come up with something for this. But is Rossi ready to take these guys? Usualy he does this only when he is fully confident. Who knows what the master's plans are. Only time will tell, waiting patiently for Qatar

Quite an insight of what goes on off-track While the WSBK/Ducati fans were blaming Rossi's acquisition for the withdrawal there were several other underlying reasons for it.
