  • May be too much of thinking:
Two similar incidents happened in this weekend (a rider taking out another one due to poor judgement on track), one with Marquez/Cluzel in moto2 and second with Stoner/Rossi in motoGP. In both the incidents the culprit walks into the other's paddock and apologizes. But the way it was received was very different.
One with humility and other with arrogance...

I beg to differ here. Not justified, yaar.Think it as Casey,if one of your arch-rivals crashes onto you and bumps you down for no reason but,a wrongly anticipated move, what would you probably do? This has not only ruined the day for Casey but could be crucial for his championship yearnings as well..He was the fastest throughout the qualifying session and was in good-competing position before the crash. And above all,Rossi continued the race and ended 5th (gaining some points there) How disgusted Casey would be at this?

No matter what, blaming Casey for poor sportsmanship is not done!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

        • Easy Shivank, he's not blaming Stoner for poor sportsmanchip. He's just trying to relate the two incidents, that's it.

Anyways, it seems lorenzo was lucky too to win as Simoncelli got down ahead of him!

          • ^^ he he he I had it coming after my post

Not doubting anybody's sportsmanship here. Yeah the move was definitely moronic and no apologies can suffice the loss that happened to Casey.

But it is just a courtesy that somebody apologizing for his mistake you accept it but what you do is replying arrogantly. Well that's how the aussie is, direct and straight.

                • and the marshals did the right thing helping Rossi first.

coz he was "trapped" under both bikes.

they helped him out from under it and continued with helping him with getting the bike started.
in the bargain... they kinda overlooked getting Stoner up and running.

This sums it up nicely...., Rossi's move was idiotic....considering that he had crashed at the very same corner earlier...should have been more careful..., maybe due to his desperation to do better...he pushed hard...

That said it was an honest racing mistake and it also robbed him of a potential podium/victory, also he did apologized.....I wouldn't call stoner arrogant....poor guy's race ended while in 2nd place...anybody would be pissed...

I absolutely hated the fact that Jlolly was the one most benefited by this.....he has been quite lucky since last year...everyone has made mistakes/crashed...(last season-rossi/stoner/pedrosa crashes)....I don't want this championship to be won by not making mistakes(i.e. by other's follies).....would give the credit to him for not making any mistakes though

                        • Rossi: I'm sorry Casey... so sorry.

Stoner: Hey... how's your shoulder... it's OK? it's OK?

                          Rossi: I'm sorry!

Stoner: did you have some problem with your shoulder?

Rossi: I'm so sorry... i make a mistake.

Stoner: yeah... Obviously your ambition outweighed your talent...

                          Rossi: Ehh??

Stoner: you see your ambition weighed more...

                          Rossi: I'm sorry!

Agree to both of you, Rossi's move was fine, just that the Ducati wasnt upto Rossi's level .

So this is what happened when Rossi, went to apologize..

Stoner (smiling): “How's your shoulder? Is it okay?”

Rossi (helmet still on): “I'm very sorry.”

                            Stoner: “No problem.”

Mr Stone :- That is one of the reason's why Rossi is a 7 time world champion, Typical Aussie arrogance, I have begun to hate this guy's attitude.

I missed the final 5 laps, my laptop got so hot that I had to shut it down. How did horge celebrate, was it typical horge celebrations or has he mellowed down?

hahaha... wasn't Stoner the one who crashed that Duc on a warm up lap.

Lorenzo attempted to jump into the pond again.
but he actually slipped really hard on his run up.
and then just skid into the pool.
they actually had two lifebuoys in the pool to prevent any drowning incidents.

he should stick to just waving his national flag.

                              • This is what happens to someone when he achieves greatness by surpassing all eras! They get criticized in the most sarcastic ways, even when it's the dumbest thing to say, Casey Stoner is the latest example of this idiocy! This happens with Sachin Tendulkar as well if he gets out early in a match!!

I am laughing reading the comments on crash.net, Stoner would be crying if he reads them! First of all, it was an absolutely safe pass by Rossi, he didn't even push Stoner outside or surprised him by the overtake! He just lost his front end after he had overtaken him, unfortunately Stoner was too near to avoid him. So what, as people say, this is racing. Still Rossi apologized, Stoner should be thankful instead of showing sarcasm!! He's talking about talent!! No doubt Stoner is talented, but he'll never be like Rossi in this lifetime of his! Are all ausies like this??

And yeah, lorenzo again did his boring jumping-in-the-air-fisting thing on the podium!!
